19 CRITICISM, KEITH'S BIJOU, MARCH 28th. 1904. #2. very much & cannot dance or talk. The man is well up to the average and is especially good by his lively dancing. They went very well to-day, all of which is due to the man and as a 3-a-day act may be classed as good. 3 shows. MR. & MRS. FISHER. Plain chamber with their own drop. 20 minutes. In their familiar sketch "The Half Way House" which is well appreciated and was very well received with laughter and applause, enabling them to close very well. The sketch is put on quite artistically and they can care very well for this portion of the programme. 2 shows. EDWIN LATELL. Drapery in one. 25 minutes. Good reception. Black-face makeup. Well received all through in his familiar line of work and closed to very good applause. 2 shows. ATEOS FAMILY. Palace in 4. 12 minutes. Four men. New name and new faces to me. They started off with ball juggling and attempted the most difficult feats in this line of work. I am sorry to say they have not perfected themselves in this line of work. Fall downs marking every trick they attempted. When they worked into the acrobatic line, they did the ordinary line of work quite well and closed to very good applause but they are not good enough for a closing act and cannot be rated as a good 2-a-day act. 2 shows. BIOGRAPH. Good set of pictures, headed by the "Battle of the Yalu", supposedly a reproduction of this battle in the Russo-Japanese War. It was fairly well done, but there was nothing wonderful about it. Closed to fairly good applause. COMMENT. Show may be called good, nothing remarkable about it in any way, but still a good show and considerably better than the line-up last week. Business was hurt a trifle to-day, Holy Week thereby showing its effect, but the show would create decent business for us any other week but this. E.. P.. LYONS..
