35 CHASE'S THEATRE WASHINGTON, D.C. WEEK, APRIL 11TH, 1904. Rosaire He does very acceptable work on the slack wire. Full stage. [ in pencil] 35 May Evans Whistling and imitations of birds and seemed to please. In one. Nora [?Bayes] A singing comedienne, magnetic, good repertoire of songs and met with decided success. Usually works in one. Max Waldon European character dancer, impersonating a Swiss dancer, Spanish, French and Ballet dancers. As artistic a bit of work as one seldom sees. Full stage. Intermission The 5 Nosses A good musical act, picturesquely costumed and using a Venetian scene. Full stage. Jack Norworth He worked in white face which to us is perferable and made a decided hit with his stories and parodies. All in one. Vesta Tilley Her work is artistic to the highest degree, was greeted with tumultous applause, will play to capacity. Enough said. Full stage. The Vitagraph Presenting scenes in the life of an American Cowboy which are good. We will send out no reviews next week as the house is rented to the Daughters of the American Revolution, as is our annual custom, for their 13th Continental Congress. H. W. D. {in pencil L E}
