Mlle. Amoros, 2 shows, 8 min. full stage -- This woman is the wife of Tony Wilson and is assisted by her sister, Mlle. Charlotte. It is a trapeze specialty, mostly confined to a display of arm and leg muscularity, with the assistant doing some tumbling stunts in order to give the trapeze artist breathing time. It is a decidedly pretty "sight" act, and good for any place in the bill. Went strong. McIntyre and Heath, 2 shows, 35 min. open in 1, close full stage -- These men are too well known to need comment from me. If anything, their sketch, "Two Georgia Minstrels", was received with more laughter than ever before. Biograph, 3 shows, 20 min. in 1 -- Excellent lot of pictures this week, and it easily held up its end with the balance of the show. Conway and Killeen, 3 shows, 15 min. open in 1, go to 3, close in 1 -- This is a neatly dressed Irish dialect comedy singing and dancing team, much more acceptable than that of Murphy and Nolan, whom we had last week. Conway's song, "Laughing Casey made quite a hit. The act would stand for a better place in the bill than it can be given this week. Robin Heath, 3 shows, 11 min. in 1 -- Blackface vocal and monologue entertainer. Did quite well with his songs, also with portions of his monologue, and promises to develop into a comedian of the George Evans type. Is now thoroughly all right in the 3-show section of any bill. Comment -- The audience was the best in every way that we have had for the 4th of July for several seasons, not only in size, but in enthusiasm, and the show went as well as it does on the first day of the week in the regular season. The bill is one of the best balanced we have had for a long time and would be considered a fine show in mid-winter. As it is, if we get any sort of decent weather, we cannot possibly help doing business.
