Trocadero Quartet, 2 shows, 17 min. open full stage, close in 1 -- Four men working in blackface, in a character sketch, entitled, "The Telephone Agent." There is only sufficient dialogue to carry the thing along, the balance of the act being singing. Held the audience remarkably well in a stiff place. It is a good act. Biograph, 3 shows, 20 min. in 1 -- Principal picture was the hill climbing contests that took place at Mt. Washington which is a splendid series of photographs, which were applauded at several points. Gorman and West, 3 shows, 15 min. open full stage, close in 1 -- Man and woman, in a comedy talking sketch, with vocal specialties. Neatly dressed couple of fair ability, who could make good in a better place in the bill if it were possible to give it to them. The Luciers, 3 shows, 16 min. open in 3, close in 1 -- Man and woman in a pastoral comedy sketch, "A Rustic Romeo." Pleasing little act, which went very well in this part of the bill. Comment -- The show as a whole is much better than that of last week, both in the matter of material and balance, and will certainly please the audiences if we get cool enough weather to bring the latter in.
