very little ability either in singing or dancing and the only commendable feature of the act is the novel manner in which one of their songs is presented. They open in rather swell evening dress and do a song and dance specialty of the common order. They go to full stage using their own set a rather pretty one representing a song in the jungle. They appear as the Zulus in blackface make-up and costumes to match. 15 min. about one-half in one, 2 shows. The Italian Trio. The same criticism extended to these men in the other houses, will apply here. 13 min. in one, 3 shows. Henry Dixey & Co. In "David Garrick on the "Art of Acting". Dixey was completely over the heads of the holiday crowd and the act fell rather flat but to me, his work is most artistic and his support thoroughly competent. The sketch was very dainty. I don't believe any fault could be found with it with the regular patrons of our house. 23 min. full stage, 2 shows. Moore & Littlefield. In the same act they have given before and which repeated its former hit today. 27 min. open with the scene of the preceding act and close in one. 2 shows. George Evans. Blackface comedian. Made the unquestioned hit of the show. 20 min. in one, 2 shows. Rice & Prevost. In spite of the fact that Rice is working with a substitute in Prevost's place, and that his table failed to arrive obliging him to use a house kitchen table, the act was a tremendous hit. 10 min. full stage, 2 shows. Biograph. Very good. We were handicapped considerably by the non-arrival of the baggane of Green & Werner, George Evans, and a portion of that of Rice & Prevost. The latter acts managed to go on, and Green & Werner made their first appearance at tonight's show.
