144 Cleveland, O., 9/13/04 SHOW WEEK SEPTEMBER 12th, 1904. JEWEL'S AUTOMATIC ELECTRIC THEATRE: Good act of its kind, runs 25 min. in full stage. Owing to length of show was obliged to cut it down to 18 min. This act is suited for children and no doubt draws little money. BLANCHE GILSON: Billed as "sweet singer of ballads"- there are other words in the English language that would suit the billing better than "sweet". She just about gets away by being No. 2 on the bill without being called bad. The act runs 9 min. in one. JOHN C. RICE & SALLY COHEN: In comedy skit called "Our Honeymoon"- a fairly good act and pleases. They have been seen here so often that the act has no commercial value. 25 min. in full stage. QUIGLEY BROS.: A talking act and very good one. Runs 18 min. in one. COLE & JOHNSON: This act is familiar with everybody. Went big. They arrived here without their baggage and were obliged to go on at the matinee in their street clothes. They went better than they did in the evening when they were dressed up. 24 min. including 5 min. in one. ROSE STAHL & CO.: In a one act comedy entitled "Chorus Lady" Some of the sayings are a little slangy but otherwise it is a very good sketch, cleverly done and away from the usual run of stuff. It was well received both at the afternoon and evening performances. time of act 25 min. plain chamber, full stage. SIG. LUIGE DEL ORO: His last appearance in Cleveland was about ten years ago with the Ninon Duclos Blondes at the Star Theatre. A good musical act in one. Plays the Concertina as well with his feet as with his hands. 18 min. in one. HASSAN BEN ALI TROOP OF ARABS: The present bunch about the best lot of Arabs I have ever seen. went very big. The finish was exceptionally strong. 8 min. in full stage. AMERICAN BIOGRAPH: Owing to the length of bill I was obliged to cut out all the pictures but one. I held over PERSONAL, which sent the audience wild with laughter. L. M. Eirick.
