Mme. Slapoffski, 2 shows, 16 min. in 1 -- This woman made a bigger hit than last week, and after singing through her programmed selections, was obliged to sing a fourth. Three Keatons, 2 shows, 24 min. open full stage, close in 1 -- This act went just as well as it ever has in this house, the juvenile "Buster", scoring as solidly as he ever has done in Boston. Bright Brothers, 2 shows, 6 min. full stage -- These acrobats are nothing extraordinary and the very little time they give us does not warrant their being booked. If I remember rightly, a kick was made on this very thing last season. We can very easily do without them, as there are lots of 3-per-day acrobats who are doing much more time and better work. Biograph, 3 shows, 20 min. in 1 -- We had two pictures this week: 1, The Moonshiners, a long film and one of the best worked out pictures of the kind we have ever had, telling a complete story. 2, A Couple of Lightweights, being two of McGutcheon's children boxing on the beach at Atlantic City, and "helping papa to pay rent." Both good pictures. Mooney & Holbein, 3 shows, 16 min. open full stage, close in 1 -- This is a satisfactory 3-show act by a man and woman, who do a variety of work in an entertaining fashion. They could fill a much better place on the bill than they will get this week. Comment - We were blessed(?) with one of our winter frappe audiences this afternoon, the sort that sit and take in the show and metaphorically dare those on the stage to make them laugh or applaud. The show as a whole is a good one and should draw business on its merits. In fact, several of the turns are really wasted through the position we are obliged to give them.
