170 TEMPLE THEATRE, DETROIT, MICHIGAN WEEK OF OCT. 2, 1904 ST. ONGE BROS.: A comedy trick cycling act of exceptional merit. 15 mins. F. S. NICHOLS SISTERS: An excellent black face singing and talking act These women are undoubtedly the best in their particular line in vaudeville. 11 mins. in one. JOHN & BERTHA GLEESON & FRED HOULIHAN : Always good, always well dressed always one of the biggest hits on our bill. 16 mins. F. S. STUSRT BARNES: Mr. Barnes is one of the best singers and talkers that we have ever played. In many ways he suggests Harry Bulger. He has some excellent talk, which he gets over the footlights in an excellent manner, and his songs are of the tuneful kind that will be whistled on the streets. 22 mins. in one. EVA MUDGE: Miss Mudge has added a new character to her changes since last year called "The Knight of the Road". But it does not strike me as being quite as good as Barbara [Freitche?] which she abandoned for it. Her other songs are the same as when last appearing here. She is always a favorite. 14 mins. F. S. 4 mins. in one. ROSE STAHL & CO: Her company consists of one man and one woman. To my way of thinking this sketch is by far the best on the vaudeville stage. Miss Stahl fairly scintilates in the part of the "Chorus Lady". I think that this set will cause considerable talk. 23 mins. F. S. GOTHAM COMEDY FOUR : This is an excellent act, if it was a trio instead of a quartette. I consider the comedy part of "Lizzie" as very iritating and I think it spoils the act. 19 mins. in one. PROSPER TROUPE : This troupe consists of a grown man, two young men a young woman and a girl. Their ground tumbling is exceptional clever, and it is a good acrobatic act. 8 mins. F. S.
