Annie Irish, 2 shows, 20 min. full stage -- In her monologue, "An Actress' Christmas", which is the most artistic offering in this line we have ever had in this house. Followed with interest from start to finish and received four curtain calls. Crane Brothers, 2 shows, 19 min. in 1 -- Presenting their familiar "Mudtown Minstrels", which simply went with a howl all through, scoring the laughing hit of the show. Henry Lee, 2 shows, 24 min. full stage -- Did not seem to go so strong as last week, as he made few changes in his impersonations, and these of people whom he has presented during prior engagements. Gens. Lee and Grant, and President Roosevelt, were the most appreciated. Melani Trio, 2 shows, 15 min. in 1 -- Italian street singers and musicians. Its salary considered, this act is just as good as the three Dumonds. Both the vocal and instrumental numbers went strong with the afternoon audience. Marvelous Merrilss, 2 shows, 17 min. full stage -- Trio of trick and comedy bicyclists, probably too well known to need extended notice of what they do. In the most difficult spot on the bill, they made good, although there are better acts of the same class in the business. Biograph, 3 shows, 20 min. in 1 -- 1, In a Welsh Slate Quarry. Quite interesting. 2, The Bewitched Trunk. Novel and amusing. 3, The Baby and the Puppies. Of interest to ladies and children. 4, Behind the Lens. Mildly amusing. 5, Children in the Surf, Happy Days on the Beach at Coney Island. Of interest to ladies and children. 6, In an English Hayfield. Interesting. The list as a whole can be classed as fairly good. Florella Sanford, 3 shows, 14 min. full stage -- Instrumentalist, performing on French horn, zylophone, cornet, etc. She is a rather attractive looking young girl and a fair musician. From the 3-per-day standpoint, the act can be classed as good. Comment - The show as a whole is a good one, it is a bit weak on comedy, yet I rather incline to the opinion that if we had more of that material it would prove a bad contrast for the other acts. The weak spots are Ernest and Norton, neither of whom are strong enough for the place in the bill. Perhaps, on rearrangement, this can be fixed up, as some of the 3-turners might fit in to better advantage in their places.
