179 BALTIMORE MD. Report of Keith Show - Maryland Theater - Week Oct. 10th 1904 Lambert & Pierce - Act very poor. Cut between three and four minutes of dialogue out and improved it somewhat. Went draggy and seemingly tired audience. Burton's Dogs - Only a fair dog act. The leaping dogs redeem it some but otherwise there is nothing meritorious in it. Basque Quartette - Very artistic vocalists in grand opera selections, which went well and pleased our audience greatly. Frederic Bond & Co. - Good lively sketch, with plenty of clean fun, which made a hit and pleased everybody. Vera King - An exceptionally good act, which went very well and won much applause. Carter De Haven Sextette - Act good but De Haven and his "mothers" heads are swollen with success. Had a time satisfying them with dressing rooms and convincing them they should not be billed above Fred. Bond & Co. George Evans - Act better than ever. He made a big hit with songs and monologue. Prevost & Prevost - Acrobatic work good, but comedy work old and very poor. Radical changes in latter necessary to make act better. Biograph - Very poor selection of pictures. Nothing like as good as last week. Frederick C. Schanberger
