180 TEMPLE THEATRE, DETROIT, MICHIGAN Week of Oct. 10th, 1904 FORD BROTHERS: This is a blackface singing and dancing act with but little to commend although it takes very well with the gallery and balcony. 8 mins. in 2, and five mins. in one. SANDOR TRIO: These athletes do some wonderful muscle stunts on the flying rings, but it is not a repetition of an old, old act which could be put on the shelf. 10 mins. F. S. FRANK BUSH: He returned to the Temple with the same old stories he has been peddling over the footlights for several years. He is STEELEY DOTY & COE: This is only a fair musical comedy act. One of the trio has a good voice and plays the piano in an excellent manner. There is little variety in the instruments and the comedy just gets by. 19 mins. in 3. HARRY GILFOIL: There is no question but that Mr. Gilfoil's character of "Baron Sands", is excellently drawn and that his imitations or rather mimicry are the best in vaudeville. But still he is not a legitimate headliner. 18 mins. F. S CARLETON MACY & MAUDE EDNA HALL: The Sketch "A Timely Awakening" is an excellent one and capitally acted but it is rather talky at the opening. It went very strongly here as it winds up cleverly. 24 mins. F. S. SISTERS MEREDITH: This act shared the honors with Gilfoil. The young women are pretty "dinges" but can pass for French creoles. Their indian song is a gem both as to singing and acting. 13 mins, open and close in one. CARON & HERBERT: This is not the original Caron & Herbert act and is far inferior to it. I am uncertain whether they are "ringers" or whether they are entitled to the name. One of the men is physically disabled. It is a very ordinary comedy-acrobatic act. 13 mins. F. S.
