208 TEMPLE THEATRE, DETROIT, MICH. Week of Oct. 31, 1904. AlBurtus & Miller: Comedy juggling act. These people had a hard place on the bill opening the show and they went very well notwithstanding. 15 mins. F. S. JOSSELIN TRIO : Two women and a man in a trapeze act. This is an excellent act of this kind. While it did not receive such applause it added materially to the act entertainment. [1?] mins. F. S. SEARL & VILET ALLEN : Comedy skit "The Sign Painter". I do not think very much of this act. of this [kind] although it went quite well with our audience. There is very little to it, neither man nor woman can sing 16, mins. in one. CRESSY & [PAYNE?]: Presenting "A Village Lawyer". This is great little play. Mr. Cressy is one of the greatest actors now in vaudeville of course it went very strongly. 23 mins F. S. EUGENE COWLES: This famous [Basso?] as expected made a tremendous hit. He sings four songs in grand voice an never appeared to better advantage He draws the best class of people to the theatre. 12 mins. in one. PAT ROONEY'S STREET [URCHINS?]: This act consists of [15?] street gamins who sing a little [or?] dance a little and make considerable noise on phony instruments. The act as a whole is a very bad one, and we would not care to play it again under any circumstances. 21 mins. F. S. BILLY LINK : This monologist did not go as strong this time around the principal reason being that he did not have new stuff. 13 mins. one. FOUR BARD BROTHERS: This is the greatest acrobatic act we have ever played. These brothers do single handstands as many as other acrobats do double handstands. Their work is neat, quick, graceful and altogether exciting. They make a big hit here. 9 mins. F. S.
