210 (M. K. Keating) Boston Show, Week of Nov. 7, 1904. Stereopticon, 3 shows, 10 min. in 1 -- Usual selection of interesting home and foreign views. Crowley and Foley, 3 shows, 13 min. in 1 -- Singing, dancing and talking comedians, one working straight and the other in grotesque makeup. This being their home town, they are naturally stronger than elsewhere. As singers and dancers they will pull through all right in the 3-show section, but their "talk" is chestnuty and poor wit. Radie Furman, 3 shows, 9 min. in 1 -- Calls herself "The Jolly German Girl". Her act consists of German dialect songs, with a little patter, and wooden shoe dancing. She dresses in German peasant costume. good act for the 3-show section. Charles and Minnie Sa Van, 2 shows, 11 min. full stage -- Acrobatic comedians, the woman being decidedly the best worker of the two. It is their first time here for two years, and Charles is no longer working in clown makeup much to the detriment of the act, as the comedy is not nearly so good. Earle and Earle, 2 shows, 12 min. in 1 -- Banjo players, working in court costume, white satin coat and knee breeches, and white wigs. Most of their selections are from the operas and they played them extremely well, but they scored their hit with a more popular class of airs. Charles Bradshaw and Company, 2 shows, 28 min. full stage -- Presenting the farcical sketch, "Fix in a Fix", which has been done here to the limit, and this time given with the poorest support he has ever had, the woman doing the mother-in-law being particularly bad. Never saw him as a headliner anyhow, and think we can worry along without a repetition of the act. Ademini and Miss Taylor, 2 shows, 15 min. opening in 1, closes in 2, in which they use their own drop -- Costumed singing act, the woman being the best vocalist of the two. Went strong. Prosper Troupe, 2 shows, 10 min. full stage -- Two men, two girls and two boys, in tumbling, pyramid building, etc. Fast working act and went big. 2. An English Chicken Farm. Interesting. 3. A Workingman's Paradise. A novelty and quite funny. 4. A panorama of the St. Louis Exposition. Beautiful series of pictures; instructive. 5. Let Uncle Reuben Show you How. Quite funny. 6. Along, a venturesome baby on Coney Island Beach. Interesting and amusing for ladies and children.
