218 (M. J. Keating) Boston Show, Week of Nov. 14, 1904. Stereopticon, 3 shows, 12 min. in 1 -- Usual selection of interesting home and foreign views. Herbert Brooks, 3 shows, 16 min. open in 1, closes full stage -- Did not turn up today because he had the bad judgment to take the Joy Line as a means of reaching Boston, and telephoned me after one o'clock that he was at Woods Hole, from which point he could not get away until 6.30 this evening. Lew Earle and Florence Wilson, 3 shows, 14 min. full stage -- This is a musical comedy team, the fun-making being in the hands of the woman, who is quite clever. They are only fair instrumentalists. Good act for the 3-show section. Ada Arnoldson, 3 shows, 10 min. in 1 -- Swedish vocalist, with a good voice and pleasing selection of ballads. Has improved in personal appearance and vocally since she last appeared here, and is a more prepossessing singer than a great many of those in the 2-show section. The Marinellas, 3 shows, 8 min. full stage -- Man and woman, in a clever exhibition of muscle work and hand balancing on triangles. Good act. James F. McDonald, 2 shows, 16 min. in 1 -- Vocal comedian and raconteur. Clean and pleasing entertainer for an early part of the 2-show section of any bill. Went as strong as any act of this kind ever does in this house. Fred Hallen and Mollie Fuller, 2 shows, 20 min. full stage -- First time here in four years, presenting their latest comedy sketch, "Election Bets", which did not go so strong here as I have seen it in other houses. Think it will go better tonight. The Brittons, 3 shows, 13 min. in 1 -- "Real coon" singers and dancers; one of the best teams of the kind in the business. Got the first advance reception of the day and scored a big hit. Liquid Air, 2 shows, 20 min. full stage -- This novelty went even better than last week. The demonstrator is bad, at best, but shows improvement. He varied his demonstrations somewhat and all his remarks were listened to with rapt attention and the experiments evidently created wonderment among the majority of the audience. At the close he was an enthusiastically applauded as any act on the bill. children. 6, The Clockmaker's Dream. Interesting and amusing; excites a deal of curiosity as to how it was made. Comment - Excellent show throughout; not a really poor act on the bill. It has balance between interesting and comedy
