232 PHILADELPHIA SHOW, Nov. 28th, 1904. H. A. DANIELS. JOLSON, PALMER & JOLSON-GYH-3-Three men, singing and talking comedy sketch. Comedy and singing just fair. Got by with a little applause in the opening spot. Fair act. 18 mins. Gar. in 5. THE TAYLORS-NH-3-Man and woman. Colored team, the man doing the comedy and the woman acting as the feeder. Singing, dancing and jokes. All right (for the salary) for a place in the three show section, if on very early. 15 mins. in one. AERIAL SMITHS-GRR-3-Man and woman, swinging trapeze act. Neat appearance. They work rapidly and gracefully and present a very good three show act. 10 mins. Gar. in 4. RADIE FURMAN-NH-3-Girl doing a Dutch character act, the wooden shoes being one of the features. Some of her attempts at comedy are pathetic. She received a little applause on her singing and dancing. Her jokes fell flat. 7 mins. in one. THE SA VANS-GHR-2-Man and woman, comedy acrobatic act. Some of the comedy very good. woman does her share of the work, which is unusual. Good act. Received a good hand at the close. 11 mins. Horizon in 4. MAY EVANS-HR-3-Whistler. Been over the circuit several times. Good three show act. We have her on a bit late, but could not help it. 9 mins. in one. DUFFY, SAWTELLE & DUFFY-GHR-2-Man, woman and boy, comedy sketch without a name. The kid is quite clever, and the act would not amount to much without him. It is not an exceptionally good act, but got some laughs. Should be placed early in the two show section. 22 mins. C.D.F. in 3. Close in one. W. H. SLOAN & CO.-YRR-2-Comedy sketch "The Plumber." Has a new woman in the place of Yolande Wallace. A little improvement. Sloan is always good, which is more than can ever be said of his support. Act went well to-day, with plenty of laughter and some applause. 20 mins. C.D.F. in 3. J. WARREN KEANE-NH-3-Card and coin manipulator. Quite clever in a small way. Not much of a talker. Has some good tricks, but was a bit nervous to-day. We had to place him here, for in the mix-up we went shy on acts in one. Good three show act. 18 mins. in one. HALLEN & FULLER-MRR-2-Geo. Cohan's sketch "Election Bets." An excellent sketch, containing a variety of ludicrous situations. Went with screams of laughter throughout. Our audience liked it immensely. 19 mins. C D.F. in 3. CHAS. F. SEMON-GHR-2-Team of Falke & Semon, now working alone. Can open in one. Does about the same work he used to do, and seems to go just as well. A very good comedy act. Went with continuous laughter this afternoon. 20 mins. C.D.F. in 3. Close in one. FIVE MOWATTS-YHR-2-Five boys, club juggling act and a corking good one. The work received continuous applause. The best "sight" act for an applause getter that we have had here in weeks. 10 mins. Gar. 5 LEW SULLY-YHR-2-Monologue and songs. Traveling in pretty swift company right in this spot. However, he seemed to get them, and got by nicely. Good act. 18 mins. in one. PENN FOOT BALL TEAM. Good.
