NEW YORK: - September 11th, 1905: JULES LARVETTE: - Magician: This fellow is very ordinary. Nothing sensational to the act. Does a big lot of talking but manages to get away with it in a pleasant manner. Act is all right for an opener. 17 min. in one - 2 shows: THE CASTANOS: Dancers: - Man and woman. The dancing consists of soft-shoe and high kicking. Woman does a little contortion work. Making a neat little act for an opening. 12 min. - full stage-3 NESSEN & NESSEN: 3 men: Club jugglers and Hoop rollers. Two working straight. The other as a rube kid. They do a very neat club juggleing and hoop rolling act. The rube kid gets quite a number of laughs and is a fairly good dancer. All right for an early place. 13 min. -full stage - can close in one 3 shows: W. E. WHITTLE: Ventriloquist: This man is a pretty fair ventriloquail comedian. He has quite a lot of good material. Best part of it is old, but he manages to deliver it in such a way as to secure a big lot of laughs. It is a mighty good act for three shows a day. 21 min. -full stag-close in one in about 5 mins. EVA WESTCOTT & CO.: Company consists of Eva Wetcott and Tom Browne, who does not say a word during the entire sketch, merely used for effect. The act is quite novel and will appeal to the feminine audience. It is a relief from the ordinary sketches and went fairly well this afternoon. 15 min. -full stage-2 CHASSINO: - Shadowgraphist: One week would be enough for this man. While he went fairly good, he did not make the impression as he did last week. 11 min. - full stage-2 shows: MAX RITTER: Coon Shouter:- On account of being short acts in one. Gave this young man pretty a fair place. He just about passes. They couldn't see his singing or talking. Got a small hand on his dancing. 9 min. in one-3 shows: STANLEY & BROCKMAN: Singing and Talking Comedy: 2 men- First advance applause of the day. Stanley's imitations of Geo. A. Cohan and Eddie Foy went very strong. They received the strongest applause on the finish up to this time. 16 min.-full stage-close in one-2 shows: FIVE PIRROCOFFIS: Pantomimic Jugglers: 3 men-one woman-one girl: The girl impersonates a man. The act is on the order of the Aogust Family, but not quite as good. They work quick and do some very good juggleing. Nothing sensational to it. They went fairly well with the audience. 10 min.-full stage -2 THOMPSON & VIDOCQ: - 2 men: Talking Comedy: These boys were the applause head of the show this afternoon. There material is all bright and good. Continual laughter throughout. 14 min. in one. CHARLES BARON with his Burlesque Dog Menagerie: Continual laughter all through his act. Went fully as strong as last week. 14 min. full stage. KINETOGRAPH: 20 min. "Whale Fishing:" Quite an interesting picture. Bad photographically but instructive.
