39 Cressy and Dayne, 2 shows, 26 min. full stage--In the same piece as last week, "Town Hall Tonight". Went fully as well as at any time during the preceding six days. Three curtain calls at the finish. George W. Munroe, 2 shows, 20 min. in 1--Well-known impersonator of Irish women, in monologue and song. Certainly has a most contagious laughing personality and scored laughter all through. I cut his first song because he simply did not know how to sing it, also a few little remarks which did no harm in themselves alone, but jumbled together tend to make the act rther out of shape for our audiences. Woodland Nymphs, 2 shows, 16 min. full stage--Ten young women with "handsome" scenery and stage effects, in songs and dances. I put this act in all my Ads as the headliner of the show, and it fell down worse than anything I have ever witnessed in this house. Two of the young women simply stood on the stage and did not know what to do with hands or feet. They were guyed by the audience and even laughed at. Unless a new company has been substituted, I can't for the life of me see how reports have been given so favorably on this act. We closed them with the first show. Kinetograph, 3 shows, 20 min. in 1--Showing the following list of pictures: 1. The Man of the Hour, President Roosevelt. Timely picture showing the President making a speech. 2. An Adventurous Automobile Trip. Good comedy film. 3. Opening of Baseball SEson, Boston vs New Yorik. Picture if came earlier might have interested the fans. 4. A Stunning Creation. Quite a pretty colored film. Milt G. Barlow and Harriet Nicholson, 3 shows, 19 min. in 3--In a comedy singing and dancing sketch. Just about good enough for an opener but not much better. Comment:- The show up to the Woodland Nymphs is practically all we could ask for from the standpoint of the appreciation shown by the capacity audience, who were generous in their applause of all good points scored. As there were no good points with the Woodland Nymphs, they simply guyed them.
