GRAND OPERA HOUSE OCT. 2d, 1905. PITTSBURG, PA. TOLEDO & PRICE-Novelty Gymnasts. Parlor, 10 minutes in three. 3 shows. This is one of the best three a day acts we have ever played. They are very neat and go very well with our patrons. AL COLEMAN-15 minutes in one , 3 shows. Monologue. Cannot say much for Mr. Coleman. We do not think him worth the salary we are paying him. LAFAYETTE'S LION'S BRIDE introducing the entire company, two horses and a lion. 12 minutes. There is not much to this act but it looks well on account of the scenery and crowded stage. BERTIE FOWLER-14 minutes in one. Miss Fowler is only going fair with us. I think she is badly in need of new material. ROSAIRE & LORETTO-12 minutes in three. They carry drop. This act is a copy of Rice & Prevost's but not nearly so well done. However, they have done very well for us and would play them a return. SABEL JOHNSON-Soprano. 13 minutes in one. Miss Johnson is going very big with us, being forced to take an encore at each performance. She dresses very well and so consider her among the best single turns in the business. MR. & MRS. TRUESDELL-24 minutes in three. Parlor.. In "Aunt Louisa's Advice". This is a very good sketch and going very well with us. If the right people had hold of same I think it would be one of the best sketches in the business. Mr. and Mrs. Truesdell are very ordinary and Mr. Kemp is alost as bad as it would be possible to be. HARRY DAVENPORT-12 minutes in one. Mr. Davenport is doing the same act that he did during his last visit here and is going very well. I feel sure that if Mr. Davenport had better material he would be one of the best acts in the business. THE GREAT LAFAYETTE-40 minutes, special act, "Ching Ling Poo and Travesty Band." Mr. Lafayette is going very big with us yet I would not care to play him a return at this present salary which I consider entirely too high. NICHOL SISTERS-15 minutes in one. Act about the same as usual except for a few new jokes which go very well. They have a very hard place on the bill following Lafayette which is next to the closing act yet they are going fully as well as they ever did. THE FIVE MOWATTS-Club Jugglers. 7 minutes in 3. Wood. This is undoubtedly the best act of the kind we have ever played. They cause a great deal of talk and get as much applause as anything on the bill. MEANY & ANDERSON 3 shows. 13 minutes in 3. Center door. I haven't seen this act; have heard about it; am afraid to look at it. MARIE LAURENT-3 shows. 13 minutes in one. Miss Laurent does very well in the three a day section. KINETOGRAPH-"A Trip to Coney Island" which is a very good subject. John P. Harris
