Will H. Murphy, Blanche Nichols and company, 2 shows, 23 min., open in 1, close full stage. Got quite an advance reception. Well-known on the circuit. In "From 'Zaza' to 'Uncle Tom'", which was a perfect scream throughout. William Choir, 2 shows, 17 min. in 1--Well-known mixed quartet of vocalists. Too stiff a position for these people, although they went fairly well. Excellent act for this house. Staley and Birbeck, 2 shows, 10 min. full stage--In lightning transformation act, introducing musical, singing and dancing specialties. The quick change was well appreciated today, caused considerable comment and their selections were appreciatively encored. Kinetograph, 3 shows, 20 min. in 1--Showing the following interesting motion pictures: 1. The Vendetta. Good melodramatic film. 2. Phantom Guard. Fair picture. 3. Nautical Fancy. One of the reverse order, which have worn their welcome out with our patrons in this form. 4. Hair Dresser's Victim. Appreciated by the women and children. 5. Odd Fellows Parade at Philadelphia. This picture was not appreciated by our patrons, as it is one of local interest to Philadelphia. William LaBelle, 3 shows, 15 min. in 1--Comedy juggler and hoop rolling in tramp makeup. Quite a clever entertainer in his way. Good act for the 3-show section. Nibbe and Bordeaux, 3 shows, 11 min. in 1--Man and woman, comedians, singers and dancers with no great merit in either. Never get beyond an "opener" here. Comment:-We had an unusually large number of country people today and everything went with applause and laughter. Teh program is a little overbalanced with mirth-producing material. Will close the show tonight with Murphy and Nichols and precede them with Staley and Barback and the Village Choir. Considering the extremely pleasant weather we had a good audience today.
