PHILADELPHIA SHOW OCT. 9TH, 1905. (2) H. T. JORDAN. 5 MOWATTS-2-5 boys in their well known club juggling act. They work like lightning, and simply too our audience off their feet, receiving thunderous applause. As good, if not the best club juggling act that we play. 9 mins. Gar. in 3. LOUISE DRESSER-2-Singing comedienne. Miss Dresser is a very attractive and well dressed woman, and agood singer as well. While she pleased the audience to-day, she did not go as strong as usual, due I think to being rather far down in the bill. 12 mins. Olio in 1. BERT COSTE & CO.-2- Bert Coste supported by Guy Hastings and Helen Russel in the sketch entitled, "A Lamb in Wall Street" This is the same sketch that Coste scored so strongly in here last seson, but while Coste is just as clever, and his support just as good, he failed to do much more than please this afternoon. I think that after we put him on about an hour earlier, however, he will have no trouble in going fully as strong as before. 23 mins. Dark Fancy in 3. BURKE & DEMPSEY-2-Comedians. Two men. These people have a talking act on the order of Howard & North. While they start fairly well, they failed to keep up, and proved entirely too weak for their position on the bill. Sing a couple of parodies in pretty good shape, but not strong enough, and will have to go up to about 8 o'clock. 15 mins. St. in 1. BERZAC'S CIRCUS-2-The laughing and applause hit of the show. Went fully as strong as lasst week. 16 mins. Circus Set in 5. Always a good act for the early bill. 16 mins. Olio in 1. CHASSINO-2-Silhouettist. This man's work is so well known that it needs no criticism. Won the audience from the start, and scored most emphatically, being applause hit up to this point. Good act. 12 mins. Pal. in 4. ITALIAN TRIO-2-Three men in high class vocal work. Good selection well sung. Second time for these people here, and seemed to go fully as strong this afternoon as before, although they did not receive the applause on their finishing song that they did on their first two numbers. 11 mins. Olio in 1.
