PHILADELPHIA SHOW OCT. 16th, 1905. H. T. JORDAN. HENNY & STEEL-3 -Dancers. Two young girls in the regulation sister act. Singing fair, dancing good. Made a favorable impression with their dancing to-day, and are all right fr an early place. 10 mins. St. in 1 GARNELLA & HARRIS-3-Man and woman in a little comedy sketch entitled, "My Brother Johnny" in which they introduce a little singing, a little dancing, and a few acrobatic stunts by the man. While this is not an act that makes much of an impression on an audience, it is all right for the three a day section. Went fair to-day. 13 mins. C. D. F. in 3. DELMORE & DARREL-3-Man and woman in a little more singing, and a little more dancing, also a little dialogue. The act is well dressed, but the woman's personality is bad, and the material very old. Failed to do anything with the matinee crowd until they introduced one of Kelly & Violette's songs, which they reproduced absolutely line for line, and action for action, bringing out quite a lot of applause. In justice to Kelly & Violette will be compelled to see this act as an opener. 13 mins. in 1. THE CHAMBERLINS-3-Experts with the lasso. Man and woman whose work is well known on the circuit. Always go well in this house, and did especially well to-day. 10 mins. Rocky Pass in 4. THE GREGSONS-3-Boy and girl well known on circuit. They continued the singing and dancing which was interrupted by the Chamberlins, and while they do a nice little act, the audience failed to enthuse, due to the fact, no doubt, that they were a little tired of so much conflicting matter ahead of them. 12 mins. in 1. O'BRIEN & HAVEL-2-O'Brien and one of the Lawrence sisters in Will Cressy comedy sketch entitled, " Ticks and Clicks." Good people and bright lines, and plenty of laughter and applause. They also sing and dance, but only do this incidentally. 25 mins. C. D. Oak in 4. SMITH & CAMPBELL-2-This well known talking team came in with all new songs, and new repartee, most of which is very bright and pleasing. They scored lots of laughs, but their song at the close did not seem to meet with popular favor, and they received a very small hand, not enough to bring them back for an encore song. They have a good act, however, and will undoubtedly rearrange their material, so as to go better to-night. 17 mins. St. in 1. laughter and applause. 18 mins. Olio in 1. DAVIS, McCAULEY & CO-2-Hal Davis supported by Inez McCauley and company in the one act play "Pals". This is the second time for this act here and went much stronger than before. The comedy end is well taken care of, and the melodramatic fight at the finish went very well indeed. Mighty good act. 22 mins. Spec. in 3
