PHIOLADELPHIA SHOW, OCT. 16TH, 1905. H. T. JORDAN. AUGUSTA GLOSE-2-Musical monologue. This is a local girl who gave us something of a novelty. She talks a couple of songs, playing her own accompaniment on a grand piano. She also sings two songs with the orchesttra, introducing a little character work, which is quite clever, and seemed to please this afternoon. 10 mins. Pal. in 4. CHASSINO-2-Shadowgraphist. This man had no trouble in holding the attention of the audience, and apparently went as well as last week, but did not receive quite as much applause at the finish. 12 mins. Pal. in 4. KELLY & VIOLETTE-2-Man and woman in songs, well known on circuit, and can be counted a sure fire act in this house. Went well to-day, but not as strong as they will with the revision of the show. 13 mins. in 1. ROCHEZ'S PONIES-&-DOGS-2-Rochez gave us something entirely different in the way of a dog and pony act to-day than we have had in the past, the dogs and ponies working together. The animals are exceedingly well trained, and form the tableaus, and do the little plays practically of their own volition. A mighty good act, not only for the children, but for the older ones. The only adverse criticism that might be offered is that it lacks action. Held the attention to-day and was liberally applauded. 13 mins. Circus in 5. LEW SULLY-2-Comedian. Sully is corking in white face, and gave us a good act to-day, his parodies being new, and introducing local stuff. Most of his talk is away from that which he used here before. Had no trouble in gaining the good will of the audience, and went with strong laughter and applause. 15 mins. Olio in 1. DAVIS, McCAULEY & CO-2-Hal Davis supported by Inez McCauley and company in the one act play "Pals". This is the second time for this act here and went much stronger than before. The comedy end is well taken care of, and the melodramatic fight at the finish went very well indeed. Mighty good act. 22 mins. Spec. in 3
