TEMPLE THEATER, DETROIT, MICH., OCT. 23-The vaudeville show at this theater this week is one of the best ever presented at this home of high-class vaudeville. J. H. Finn. SYLVANO An act of equilibrium similar to that of Charles Serra of last week. It is a very good opening act for us. 1o min. F. S. NICHOLS SISTERS This clever black-face sister team brought some new material and as usual scored heavily with our audiences. 18 min. in one. HERMANY'S PANTOMIME CATS AND DOGS This is a corking good cat and dog show, both felines and canines working without a hitch. 12 min. F. S. KELLY & VIOLETTE Tbhis favorite singing team never appeared to better advantage. They introduced two new songs both of which were hits. 11 min. with plush. FILSON & ERROL Presenting "A Tip of the Derby." Very good act, very good acting. Scored heavily as usual. 24 min. F. S. TAYLOR HOLMES This young man should be a welcome addition to vaudeville. His imitations particularly those of Sam Bernard, George Cohan and Richard Mansfield were very good. 15 min. in one. "THE CITY GIRLS." Eight handsome young women headed by Truly Shattuck. This is one of the best pleasing numbers I ever witnessed. It is richly costumed and to my way of thinking is better than the original octette in "The Prince of Pilsen." 19 min. F. S. ROSAIRE & DORETO A comedy acrobatic act similar to that of Rice and Prevost, and while it is not as good it secured just as many laughs. 19 min. F. S. KINETOGRAPH "The Watermelon Thieves" is a highly-colored and sightly series of pictures and held the audience to the close.
