Report on show, Keith's Thetre, Providence, R. I, week of October 29, 1905. (Charles Lovenberg, Manager.) The bill does not pan out in reality as strongly as it appeared on paper. The two big acts do not come up to what one expects fr the money that they get and Booker & Corbley are another distinct disappointment. Naomi Ethardo. Equilibrist and contortionist. Same act we have always had which is all right for an early spot on the bill. 9 min. full stage, 3 shows. Carroll Healety. Boy soprano, with illustrated songs. Little cheap act I put in on account of the expensive show. Would not care to recommend it for the circuit. 11 min. in one, 3 shows. Holeman Brothers. Comedy bar act. I was very much disappointed with this offering as it in no sense reached, in work on the bars or comedy, what I had been led to expect. I also understood there were three men in the act and on getting here find only two. Probably one of them has dropped out and I should like to be informed on the subject. Their time is very short also so there is evidently something wrong about the act. 7 min. full stage, 3 shows, although they claim they are only engaged for two and did only two in Philadelphia last week. Roltaire. Magician. This act is about the best of the three a day turns which we have here this week. The man has a splendid personality although he does no very remarkable tricks other than his work with the glass clock. 16 min. in one, 3 shows. The Pryors. Musical act and dance work. As Mr. Pryor was decidedly intoxicated on his first turn (which fact was not known until he got on the stage) we didn't get as good a presentation of their act as usual. Am trying to straighten him out for the next show but do not know what success I will have. Today they did 10 min. opening in two, closing in one, 3 shows. Booker & Corbley. I cannot understand why these people have been a great hit in other places as I have heard and in no sense are they worth anything like the money we are paying them. I should rate them at about $125. They have a good idea which, in the hands of a couple of men like Callahan & Mack, would amount to something but these men are, in no way, equal to it. 17 min. in 2, 2 shows. Mullen & Corelli. Comedy, acrobatic act which resembles to some extent the old Reno & Richards act and which is mighty near as good. 12 min. full stage, 2 shows. Mignonette Kokin. This young woman has a very nice act making good principally on her imitations at the finish. 15 min. in one, 2 shows. Hal Davis, I. Macauley & Company. "Pals." Somehowanother this act doesn't seem to reach in Providence the way it does in the other theatres. In fact, this act doesn't go as big as the little sketch they used to play and in no sense do we get the value for the money paid. 21 min. full stage, 2 shows. Jas. Francis Dooley and Girls. This man is clever and with the girls they have strung together a number of songs and dances in a very effective manner. He is not a particularly good comedian but the act goes quite well. 22 min. in one, 2 shows. Galletti's Monkeys. Galletti this season is giving us the best act he has yet presented. The work of the Monkey playing the chimes is really remarkable and there is a lot of fun in the act besides. 14 min. full stage, 2 shows. Motion Pictures. Didn't get a chance to see at this show. If they are not all right will send a report on them later.
