Lew Sully, 2 shows, 17 min. in 1--Monologue and singing comedian. This man had a line of material that I can't understand how it got by in the other houses. It is practically impossible to convey a correct impression his remarks created as they were blurted out. I cut what matter I could and explained the rest to him. I think it would be a good idea for the other houses to watch him closely. Musical Cuttys, 2 shows, 22 min. open full stage, close in 1--One of the best acts of the sort we play. Have added a violin to it since it was last here. All selections strongly applauded and they closed strong. Jewell's Manikins, 2 shows, 21 min. full stage--This is not the proper position for an act of this sort. We were unable to work them earlier owing to their late arrival today. It is an exceptionally good act of this sort, and we will close the show for the remainder of the week in the afternoon with them and gather what juveniles we can after school hours. Kinetograph, 3 shows, 20 min. in 1--Showing the following list of interesting motion pictures: 1. Miller's Daughter. Good picture photographically and although melodramatic, it is in no sense offensively so. 2. Mr. Dunbar and the Whimsical Picture. Good comedy picture. 3. Room, Please. Fair picture. Chadwick Trio, 3 shows, 16 min. full stage--Man, woman and girl, in a comedy sketch. Well-known over the circuit. The dancing by the girl is the only merit of the whole thing, and that is good. Comment:-The show went by jerks and starts today owing largely to a difficulty in arrangement. The turns individually are all right and I think on rearramgement, the whole bill will be a satisfactory one. Marshall F. Wilder came to me this noon to register a small kick. I attempted to hold him down, but was put down and cut, when he flashed a contract, the like of which I never knew existed and in which he was to be billed as the "headliner". We had a good afternoon audience and I think we shall keep up the record breaking business of the previous four weeks.
