Agoust Family, 2 shows, 18 min. in 3--Well-known juggling organization. One of the waiters aroused considerable laughter in his funny pantomime work. The rapid plate throwing at the close carried them off to big applause. There is no doubt in my mind, but what the act would have failed were it not for the finish. Agree with everybody so far--all together too much money is paid. Louise Dresser, 2 shows, 14 min. in 1--Singing comedienne. Started off very slow, she being considerably handicpped by clinging to one of her brother's songs, but got them going in great shape with her "Same Old Girl" song. Tough spot, but we are obliged to keep her here. Eight Allisons, 2 shows, 13 min. full stage--Tumblers, acrobats and balancers. Been described in the other houses. As always, with this sort of act, it went big. Howard's Ponies, 2 shows, 20 min. full stage--This man has improved his act considerably his he was last here and it can be set down as one of the best acts of the sort we play. Will endeavor to get the children in during the week. Kinetograph, 3 shows, 20 min. in 1--Showing the following list of interesting motion pictures: 1. The Elopement. Good comedy film. 2. Coney Island at Night. Quite a clever trick picture. 3. Poor Algy. Another "chase" picture which scored laughter throughout. Harry Dudley and Alice Cheslyn, 3 shows, 11 min. in 1--In vocal specialties. Just about as good as the average 3-a-day act of this sort in the matter of voice, but decidely bad in their selections which were popular here about a year ago. Holeman Brothers, 3 shows, 8 min. full stage--Comedy bar performers, one working straight and the other in eccentric makeup. Good night act of this sort for an opener. Got some laughs and a good hand. Comment:-The day was cold and rainy and as a consequence we had an excellent afternoon's audience, who were remarkably appreciative for the first day of the week. The program contains decidedly too many talking acts with Rae and Brosche, Booker and Corbley, Jack Norworth and Smith and Campbell in the 2-show division. The strong features were the Allisons, the Agoust Family, Maxmillian Pilsner, Rae and Brosche and Howard's Ponies in the order named. I question if we will be able to hold up the previous weeks' business for the rest of the week with the bill presented.
