GRAND OPERA HOUSE OCT. 30TH, 05. PITTSBURG, PA. LARVETT-Magician. 12 minutes in two, closing in one 5 minutes. This is a very ordinary magic act but when but when one considers the time one gets from the act it does very well among the three a day ats. ALTHEA TWINS-Garden in two about 6 minutes. Singing and acrobatic dancing. This act does very well among the three a day numbers. CARTMELL & HARRIS-in one. Artistic singing and dancing. This is a very pleasing act and is going very big with us. This is their second appearance here and I think they have improved very much in their work. They dress the act very neat and the singing and dancing is far above the average. ALMONT & DUMONT-Refined musical act. 18 minutes, full stage. Can close in one. This act looks well and both are good musicians, yet there is so much sameness in the act that it does not go big with our patrons. If they were getting about $50.00 less they would be getting all the act is worth. ROBY & LEE-Street in one. Hebrew parodies. This act is going very good with us. Their parodies are as good, if not better than any I have ever heard. They are one of the cards of our bill. SALERNO-15 minutes. Full stage, interior." The greatest of jugglers." This is undoubtedly the best act of the kind I have ever seen. He has caused more talk in Pittsburg than any act that has ever appeared in vaudeville here. Our business has been very big. Would like to play him a return this season. Would advise any one who has him booked to make him the headliner. GEO. W. DAY-Street in one. Black face monologue and parody. Mr. Day is going very well with us-much better than he has ever done before. MR. & MRS. GARDNER CRANE-24 minutes, full stage-interior, in "A Yankee's Love for Dixie". I cannot say that I like their sketch. It is not near as good as the old act. The work of Mrs. Crane, however, is very good. She plays the part of a Southern girl and her dialect is as good as any I have ever heard. The act, however, is going very well owing to our having lots of comedy before and after. ELINORE SISTERS-Monologue in one. 20 minutes. This, we consider is the best act the Elinore Sisters ever had . They go much bigger in one than they have ever done for us in full stage. I wish there were more sister acts in vaudeville as good as the Elinore Sisters. BERZAC'S CIRCUS-12 minutes-wood, introducing 4 ponies and a donkey. There are more laughs in this act than any animal act we have ever played. Mr. Berzac carries six people, four of whom attempt to ride the donkey and during this part of the act the people are almost up on their feet. The last seven minutes of this act is one continuous laugh. MR & MRS. JACK-3 shows. 15 minutes, full stage, interior. They call it a comedy sketch. I have not booked them a return. KINETOGRAPH- Very clear picture and seems to please very much. JOHN P. HARRIS.
