90 Temple theater, Detroit, Mich., Oct 30.-The bill of this week is strong in every part, and particularly so int he musical features. J. H. Finn. TOLEDO & PRICE - Man and woman in a gymnastic act that is sufficiently strong for the opening. 10 min. F. S. McMAHON & CHAPPELLE - Tim McMahon and Edythe Chappelle in a singing and talking number that averages well. 14 min. in one. CLAY CLEMENT & CO. - Presenting the old and well known comedy-playlet "The Professor;s Love Story." Clement is a finished actor and his support was excellent. 24 min. F. S. R. J. Jose - This well known tenor received more advance applause than any act on the bill. He is in excellent voice and his singing was accorded most generous applause. 12 min. in one. McMAHON'S MINISTREL MAIDS - One of the best big acts we have ever played. The girls, ten in number, are well trained, the scenic investiture is fine, and on the whole it exceeded our expectations and scored a magnificent hit. The minstrel first-part runs 22 minutes, and the closing act at full stage with the watermelon girls runs five minutes. MATHEWS |& ASHLEY - One straight, the other a Hebrew character in songs and comedy out of the ordinary. They carry their own drop , nd the appeared to make a very favorable impression with the audience. 19 min. in one. THE MILITARY OCTETTE - Eight men and three women in a musical number in three scenes, the orchestra led by "the girl with the baton." This is a finely costumed act and a credit to any vaudeville theater, but I am inclined to think there is a trifle too much brass. 29 min. THE FIVE PIROSCOTTIS - European jugglers, three men and two women, one of the latter dressed as a boy. An act much superior ti the Agoust family for expertness. 8 min. F. S.
