(F. J. O'Connor) Boston Show, Week of Nov. 13, 1905 Stereopticon, 2 shows, 10 min. in 1--Usual selection of interesting home and foreign views. The Chameroys, 3 shows, 11 min. in 3--Man and woman, acrobats and tumblers. Neat little act, the woman being the better of the two, and one of the sort of acts we like for an opener. Got a fair hand at the close. Willy Gardner, 3 shows, 11 min. in 3--Buck dancer on roller and ice skates. Quite a novelty in this line of work and a most useful act for the 3-a-day action. Got a good hand at the close. Meeker-Baker Trio-3 shows, 13 min. in 3--Two men working straight and the third in eccentric makeup. Acrobats and tumblers. Nothing great in their act, and would only do for an early spot on the 3-a-day section. Clark and Florette, 3 shows, 13 min. in 1--Man and woman, neatly dressed, in singing and dancing specialties. The man's "coon" shouting did not reach the "dead" audience, but coupled with the woman's dancing makes it a nice little act for the 3-a-day section and I have no doubt but what it will make good the balance of the week. Deltorelli and Glissando, 3 shows, 10 min. in 3--Two men in a grotesque musical act. Went extremely well today, being laughed at and applauded throughout. For the 3-a-day section, it is an excellent act for this house in every way. Al Carleton, 2 shows, 16 min. in 1--Unique monologuist. He got them on his appearance, which is decidedly ludicrous, but was unable to arouse any considerable amount of mirth with his talk. Shall have to move him up the bill. Agoust Family, 2 shows, 18 min. in 3--Went just as well as last week, although they missed a good many of their tricks today, especially Alfred Agoust. Some how or other they seemed to convey the impression that they are great jugglers, especially with their plate catching at the close, which always carries them off well. Fred Ray and Juliet Wood, 2 shows, 14 min. in 1--In a Roman burlesque specialty. Got quite an advance reception. They had a lot of bright local material, and with the assistance of the stage hands, were laughed at and applauded throughout. Nick Long and Idalene Cotton, 2 shows, 23 min. full stage--In the comedy sketch, "ManagerialTroubles", which is just a name given to a jumble of practically everything including imitations of Midgeley and Carlisle, and Mrs. Fiske. Did not reach our audience in this spot today at all, and they will go up the bill for tonight and the balance of the week. The Majestic Trio, 3 shows, 15 min. in 1--"Real coon" comedians, singers and dancers. Their dancing, as always with this sort of act, is the best part of it, and it is all right for an early spot in the 3-a-day section. Comment:- The show, as a whole, is much better than that of last week, both in strength and balance. Long and Cotton are not what they should be to go to the other houses; Al Carleton needs a new line of material. We had a good audience here today, and I think that we will do a good business for the remainder of the week.
