PHILADELPHIA SHOW. NOV. 13TH, 1905. H.T. JORDAN. MR. & MRS. JACK HAYMAN-3-Man and woman in the comedy sketch entitled "The New Stenographer." Well known on circuit. Pretty light weight, but will do for an opener. C. D. F. 2 1/2. 15 ins. JOE EDMONDS-3-Songs and stories. Both man and material ordinary, but served to fill in time. Got a few laughs. 14 mins. Olio in 1. LAMBERT & PIERCE-2-Two men, black face. Fair three a day song and dance act, and went a little better than the two preceding acts. 14 mins. St. in 1. NAOMI ETHARDO-3-Equilibrist. Too well known for comment. Always pleases in this house, and received first sincere applause of the day. 10 mins. Red Gar. in 3. BAILEY & FLETCHER-3-Colored comedians. Two men. Work with lots of life and were well received. Audience now waking up. 16 mins. St. in 1. [STAISEY?] & BIRBECK-2-Man and woman in their musical transformation act, which is the best of the kind we play. Went as well as ever, and took three curtain calls at the finish. 10 mins. Spec.--Pal. Drop 5 C. C. KERN'S MIMIC DOG-2-Criticized in the other houses. A novelty, and recognized as such by the audience. Received liberal applause, although cannot be called by any means a hit. 9 mins. in 1. FOY & CLARK-2-In their new one act play "The Modern Jonah." The whole act is supposed to be played at the bottom of the sea. Well staged and Miss Clark's costume is very beautiful and appropriate. These people have good material, and present it well. The audience liked them, and were generous with laughter and applause. 16 mins. Spec. in 4. MARSHALL P. WILBER-2-Always good for once a year in this house, and was greeted with advance applause. Had no trouble in keeping the audience entertained. While he does not appeal to the top of the house, he is a good drawing card for the lower floor and the boxes. 17 mins. Olio in 1. Large frame backing in 2. SIX MUSICAL CUTTYS-2-I thoroughly agree with Providence that this is by all means the greatest musical act in vaudeville. Received most emphatic advance applause, every number encored, and closed to an ovation. A pronounced hit. 23 mins. Drap. in 4. Pal lag drops Olio in 1. COMMENT:-The show this week possesses an abundance of good material , but failed to make a good show this afternoon, due I think to the Cuttys being a little too early, and Kelsey & Shannon too late. With the revision, think it will prove a winner, and we will play to capacity for the balance of the week, which is our Anniversary one. The three a day section is very light. Played to the largest Monday afternoon audience of the season. Note-Kinetograph should follow Asra KINETOGRAPH:- 1. PUSSY'S BREAKFAST. Pleasing little picture which serves to open the reel all right. 2. WHERE IS MY HORSE? Fair comedy picture. 3. DIFFERENT HAIR DRESSING. Held over from last week. One of the best colored films we have had. 4. PASTY COOK'S JOKE. Good foreign comedy picture, closing with a chase. 5. MANOEUVERS OF AN ENGLISH FLEET. Very timely. Opens slow but finishes strong.
