100 Cleveland show Nov. 13, '05. (H. A. Daniels) WEISS TRIO--Young man and two girls, one young lady playing the piano the other two violins. Young man is a better violinist, in my estimation, than Mr. Voelker. They play solos and duets. Act is a good one for the Keith circuit, especially in the continuous houses. It is worth $100 on three shows to start. I can recommend them at this figure. I put them on as a trial act to open the show here this week. They received liberal applause. It is a good act for 8 15 in the continuous houses that like good violin music. C.D. F. in 3, close in one. 13 minutes. LEW BLOOM & JANE COOPER--Sketch entitled, "A Picture from Life". Bloom's work on the cot received a few laughs. The act went just about as well as I expected. Garden in 4, set cottage. 22 min. MATTHEWS AND ASHLEY--Two men, cab driver and a Jew. Talking and singing act in one carrying special ttransperent drop that is 20 feet too small for the stage. They did not make an awful hit this afternoon. Some of the comedy is good. Received some applause on their parodies and they finished up quite well. Special drop in one 18 minutes. CHARLES GUYER & NELLIE O'NEIL--Doing same specialty that Guyer and Daly used to do. as has always been the case, act depends entirely on the tough dance at the wind up during the course of which everything in the room falls apart. It is quite hard work to carry the act to this point. Good act. C.D.F. in 3. 23 minutes. NICHOLS SISTERS--Black face singing and dancing specialty well known on the circuit. They are quite well liked in Cleveland and go very well here. Drop in one. 17 minutes. MAX WALDON--Female impersonater. Will probably be the most talked of feature of the show this week. His impersonations went quite well this afternoon. His act was probably the most interesting on the entire program. Full stage. 13 min. JIM MORTON--Monologue. Well known on the circuit. He also is quite a favorite here in Cleveland and went well today. Is not feeling well. Contracted a severe cold in Philadelphia and says he is not in good condition to work. Drop in one. 10 min. TEN NELSONS--Two of the children are so small that they could not work in the east. They do good work and present a good lively act. However, they do not know how to dress. Good closing act for the money. Palace in 5. 20 minutes. KINETOGRAPH--The Miller's Daughter.
