101 Report on show, Keith's Theatre. Provicence, R. I., Week of November 20, 1905. (Charles Lovenberg.) The bill this week is most satisfactory; well diversified with plenty of good comedy and music which are well liked in this town. La Bell Tramp juggler (comedy). This is a very good little opening act, in fact could stand a little better place on the bill. 12 min. full stage, 3 shows. Bertini & Brockway. Two rather good looking young girls who make a neat appearance and in a small way do some quite clever work in the way of dancing and contortion with a little singing added. Thoroughly all right from a three a day standpoint. 11 min. in 1, 3 shows. Lambert & Pierce. Care very little for this act although it can't be called decidely bad. The criticism given in other houses will apply here. 12 min. in 1, 2 shows. Brazil & Brazil. Man and woman made up as country boy and girl who start off with a little comedy that is surely acceptable and finish with some pretty good tumbling. Good three a day act. 11 min. full stage, 3 shows. The Majestic Trio. Two men and a woman ( colored). A very good coon act: one fellow is quite funny. Went very strong today. 16 min. in 1, 3 shows. Asra. Novelty juggler. His opening work amounts to very little. I was afraid he was going to be a failure but when he got on to his "billard table" the work introduced there being of a novel nature and quite well done, was accepted in an appreciated manner. Although not "great" it is a good act. 13 min. full stage, 2 shows. Zena Keife. This is a little child whom I have had playing in Pawtucket for me and who is introducing her specialty here. She has a charming personality, quite small, appears to be about eight years old although she ten, and has lots of ability. To my mind it is decidedly more desireable an act than that of La Pet Mignon. This little girl does, singing, dancing, and whistling. 13 min. in 1, 2 shows. Edward Mollenhauer. Veteran violinist. I had the old gentleman up to my house last night picking out a program and was surprised to see how far back he had gone as a violinist and was all last night and today very apprehensive as to his success; however much to my surprise he made a decided hit. Got a big reception on his entrance, due in some part I believe to our method of working him up; got great applause on each of his three selections and was forced to come back and play another occupying in all about twenty minutes time. We have had better violinists on the circuit but in view of the way he went today I feel sure that no mistake was made in booking him and that he will draw good money if properly handled. I will cut his act down to about 15 min., 2 shows., in 3, using a Grand Piano. Wood & Ray. Burlesque tragedy. Decidedly better act to my mind than either "Ross & Fenton" or "The Garrisons.", and gets more laughs from the audience. 15 min. in 1, 2 shows. The Meers' Wire act. Some good features accompanied by some very acceptable comedy. 16 min. open in 3, close in 1. full stage, 2 shows. Motion Pictures. Little Train Robbery. Very good. War of Children. Very good.
