PHILADELPHIA SHOW. -2- H.T. JORDAN DURAND TRIO-2-High class vocalists. Three men singing all their songs in Italian. Good singing act, but on entirely too late, will move them up. 15 mins. Drap. in 1. WILFRED CLARKE & CO.-2-Wilfred Clarke supported by Theo Carew and a competent company in the farce, "No More Trouble." While there is no rhyme or reason to the vehicle, it is full of action, the situations are rediculus, and it wnet with a scream this afternoon. Clarke's work is good, and no fault can be found with the members of his company. For this house act can be classified as a laughing hit. 18 mins. 2 Arch Yellow. STALEY & BIRBECK-2-Musical blacksmiths. Second week for these people. Hearty advance applause, and went fully as strong as last week. 10 mins. Spec. in 5 & Pal. ALF GRANT-2-Assisted by Ethel Hoag. This is the first time that Grant has appeared in this house. The improvement in his work since I saw him at the Bijou some years go, is most marked. He told stories, did imitations, and sang songs. Much of his material is new, and all well done. Miss Hoag dresses neatly, but does little, Grant being the whole act. Hit to-day. 16 ins. Olio in 1. HASSEN BEN ALI'S TOOZOONIAN ARABS-2-The gentleman Cleveland calls this the best closing act in vaudeville, and I agree with him. Worked with even more rapidity than ever before, and had the audience standing up at the finish. A hit. 10 mins. Water landscape in 5. KINETOGRAPH:- 1. THE IMPRACTICABLE JOURNEY. Good photographically, and has quite a lot of light comedy. 2. THE CZAR AND THE IMPERIAL FAMILY. A most timely picture, and proved very interesting. 3. DOWN ON THE FARM. Also good from a photographic standpoint, and some of the comedy is quite good.
