(F. J. O'Connor) Boston Show, WEek of Dec. 4, 1905 Stereopticon, 3 shows, 5 min. in 1--Usual selection of interesting home and foreign views. Heeney and Steele, 2 shows. 7 min. in 1--Two young women, just a little singing and some clever dancing. Went very well in this spot in the bill today, and it can be considered a first rate act of this sort for the 3-a-day session. (They did altogether too short time and I have told them to stretch it out). Billy Kincaid, 3 shows, 10 min. in 3--Comedy juggler. His juggling is all right but there is not much to his comedy and his personality is bad. Just about got by in this spot, which he would not have got if the baggage of the Brothers Durant had shown up. Milt Wood, 3 shows, 7 min. in 1--Buck dancer and one of the best we have had here in a long time. He is easily in the class with John Ford. Could go down in the body of the bill and make good. Strong recall at the finish. The Jess, 3 shows, 11 min. full stage--Man and woman, acrobatic contortionists and ring performers. All their feats were applauded and they got a big hand at the close. R. J. Joss, 2 shows, 14 min. in 1--Second week for this popular tenor. Got a big advance reception and went with applause throughout. He is entitled to two weeks at any time in this house. Bert Levy, 2 shows, 20 min. full stage--Assisted by Miss Vernon in an idyl of the Studio, "The Artist and the Model". This man presents quite a novel act. He sits at a desk in front of a screen and sketches different characters, which are thrown as he draws upon a screen in the rear of the stage. He is somewhat green lacking vaudeville experience. Miss Vernon is a very pretty young woman and adds considerably to the act. A good deal depends on the characters he elects to sketch. I will look into the idea more fully tomorrow and if there is not the element of "fake" to it, that I have reason to suspect, I think it should be a good act for the circuit. Johnson and Wells, 3 shows, 15 min. in 1--Man and woman, "real coon" singers and dancers. As always, with acts of this sort if there is any merit to them, they went big this afternoon. La Vallee Trio, 2 shows, 15 min. in 3--Three young women, a vocalist, violinist and harpist. Their selections were appreciatively encored and they went off to good applause. Hoey and Lee, 2 shows, 16 min. in 1--Hebrew comedians and parody singers. Well-known on the circuit. Got a big advance reception on their appearance and went with laughter and applause throughout. hit that has been Dollar Troupe, 2 shows, 10 min. full stage--One of the best accts of the sort we play and it went with applause throughout. Applause hit of the bill. Kinetograph, 3 shows, 20 min. in 1--Showing the following list of intresting motion pictures: 1. Saturday's Wages. Good comedy film. 2. Moving Day or No Children Allowed,. Fair comedy film especially interesting to women and children. Brothers Durant have not been able to show up to this time on account of non-arrival of baggage. Comment:- The show started off in fine shape: the audience were enthusiastic and willing to applaud merit. Both the City Girl and Harry LeClaire failed to make any big impression on our patrons this afternoon, although we had a good audience.
