PHILADELPHIA SHOW, DEC. 4TH. 1905. -2- H.T. JORDAN. SYDNEY DEANE & CO.-2-In "Christmas on the Island." Act is well known on the circuit. Duplicated the hit they made here before, and the comedy end has been improved 100 per-cent, and it stands now one of the best acts in one that we play. 24 mins. Spec. in 1.-Trun drop in 2. Olio 1. JOSEHINE COHAN and a competent company in what might be termed a musical farce. Miss Cohan received a flattering hand on her entrance, and made a hit with her singing and dancing. There is quite a lot of comedy in the act that was very well handled, and the sketch may be classed as successful, ending strong. 23 mins. Tableau curtains in 1. STUART BARNES-2-Monologuist. Despite the fact that the show ran very late, this man made his accumstomed hit. Scored strongly with his songs. 18 mins. Olio 1. FLYING RATHBUNS.-2-Three men. Casting set. All right for a closing act. 10 mins. Gar. in 4 1/2 KINETOGRAPH- 1. THE GREAT FOOTBALL GAME. Quite a good picture photographically, and some of the plays show up very well. 2. LICENSE NO 13; or, THE HOODOO AUTOMOBILE. While the comedy in this picture is pretty far fetched, it made them laugh, and does very well. COMMENT. The show this week is mighty good, the only fault to be found is that there is too much 2 a day material. Many of the acts ran so long that it became necessary to put the Truesdells and Vernon on before 7.30.
