Keith's New York Criticism-- Dec. 11th-05. ---oo-(2)-oo---- WILL ROGERS: Lasso Manipulator. One of the best on the stage. His lasso work got very little applause, although he closed strong, showing that they appreciated his work. 11 min.-full stage- 2 shows FRED NIBLO: The American Humorist. Has a big lot of new material. Had them with him on the start-off and carried them all through his act. Closed very strong. Cut out:- "Dam sight." "Don't take a married woman, take a single one; you will keep out of trouble." And when audience laughs:--"Naughty audience, I don't mean what you mean." Also make no reference to Adam and Eve. 17 Min. in one-- 2 shows JOSEPHINE COHAN & CO. Company includes Josephine Cohan, Morgan Wallace and Edward Powers in a musical farce:-"Friday, the 13th." Miss Cohan received a reception on her entrance. The sketch tells a little story with a good vein of comedy running through it; and with the singing and dancing makes it a very acceptable musical farce. They scored quite a number of laughs. Company is excellent. She was compelled to take two bows on her finish. 23 min.-full stage MAYME REMINGTON & HER PICKANINNIES: I think this woman gave us the best act we ever had. She carries two drops to represent Japanese and Indian Village scenes. The "Picks" make four changes. The singing is excellent and they close with a good lively dance, making a very strong finish. Was applauded throughout. 12 min. in one- 2 shows PARROS BROTHERS: Eccentric Hand-to-hand Acrobats and Equilibrists: Acrobatic work is excellent. Balancing is very good and recognized the equal of any that we ever had. Finished very strong. A good closing act. 14 min. full stage KINETOGRAPH: "A Christmas Miracle." Good "The Train Wreckers." Intensely interesting throughout. Excellent subject.
