Report on show Keith's Theatre, Providence, R. I., Week of Dec. 18, 1905. (Charles Lovenberg, Manager.) The show this week is very good and satisfaction was evidenced by the audience this afernoon. Louis Guertin. Trick jumper and a very good one. Splendid 3 a day act. 13 min. full stage, 3 shows. Durand Trio. Three Italian vocalists. They sing two songs in Italian and two in English; make three changes of costume. They are not "street" singers as they have been described in some places. A good 3 a day act, good enough to go considerably farther down on the bill than I have them here this week. 12 min. in 1, 3 shows. Cherry & Bates. Bicyclists. They do some pretty good stunts but the comedy is rather tiresome. I have no complaint to make of the act, from a 3 a day standpoint, but it is not as good as I expected to see. 17 min. full stage, 3 shows. Minnie Harrison. Girl vocalist. Young girl, apparently about 18 years of age, rather good looking, with a very deep voice. Sings some "coon" songs acceptably. Good 3 a day act, especially good for this house as this is her native town. 11 min. in 2, can work in 1, 3 shows. Lew Hankins. His act has been described before this season. Went very well today. 15 min. in 1, 2 shows. Toto. This act lacks something, can't say just what it is I think the people are liable to wonder just how it is done and it creates a little interest in that way and is amusing, in a mild form for the children. If it was getting about one-half the salary and doing 3 shows, I would class it as a good act. 8 min. in 1, can work in 2, 2 shows. LeRoy & Woodford. These people have about one-half of their act new this year and LeRoy got them in great shape this afternoon. A very good talking act for the early two a day section. 16 min. in 1, 2 shows. Delmore & Oneida. A man and a very pretty woman who do a Japanese Perch act, which goes very well indeed; principally I think, because of the woman's beauty and neatness.10 min. in 2, can work in one, 3 shows. Ward & Curran. In a new version of "The Terrible Judge". They hold up year to year. 28 min. open in 3, close with about 5 min. in 1, 2 shows. Valerie Bergere & Co. In a one act scenic production of "Carmen." I am quite satisfied that there is no better offering, of this kind on the Vaudeville stage. Miss Bergere has her act with some attractive scenery, beautiful costumes and good support. I shall be very much surprised if she doesn't prove very valuable to us this week. 23 min. full stage, 2 shows. Hoey & Lee. Hebrew parodists. Much better to my mind than York & Adams. The audience agreed with me, for they went very strongly whereas the other men never really go good here. 16 min. in 1, 2 shows. Sammy Watson's Farmyard Pets. This act is well known on the circuit. Went very strong today. 21 min. full stage, 2 shows. Motion Pictures. "Saturday Wages." Fair comedy picture. "Moving Day. Good comedy picture.
