Cleveland show week of Dec. 18, '05. (F. H. Brandt) THE MAGINLEYS--Aerial gymnasts. The act is very similar to the act of the Aerial Smiths but lacks the speed of this act. The man works very smoothly but the woman of the team seemed rather fleshy to do this kind of work. Applause very light. Full stage. 10 minutes. DELTORELLI & GLISSANDO--Grotesque musical novelty act introducing several novelty instruments and finishing with the musical bell act laying on their back and playing it with their feet. Comedy only fair with this act. Fair applause at the finish. 15 minutes. Palace in 5. THE MAJESTIC TRIO--Three colored people, two men and one woman. Considering the fact that they had to go on in their street clothes owing to their trunks not arriving and had to cut out their dancing, they made good. Applause at finsih very fair. 7 minutes in one. CBARET'S DOGS--A very good act. He carries a miniature set and the dogs go through a sort of fox chace with miniature figures tied to them. He has a miniature ferris wheel and several high jumping fox terriers. There are five dogs which do back sommersaults at one time. Full stage. 7 minutes. JAMES F. MACDONALD--Singing comedian. Very good. Songs all new, also his stories. Went very well with this afternoon's audience. 16 minutes in one. THREE SELDOMS--Three men in artistic poses. Human statues in marble poses. This is without exception a very good act and went very well with the audience this afternoon. Their last pose called "At the Finish" is one of the best things I have ever seen and received three curtain calls. Full stage. 9 minutes. MAY BELFORD--English character comedienne. While this woman has not a very good voice the orchestrations of her songs were very clever. Her songs are all new and went very well. Good applause for every song. 16 minutes in one. LOUIS SIMON, GRACE GARDNER & CO.--In the "New Coachman". A rough house comedy sketch. The only available act we had to close the show and it seemed to hold the place to the satisfaction of the audience. Received a good hand at the close. C. D. F. in 3. 30 minutes. KINETOGRAPH--At the Zoo, scenery; Where is my Hores, comedy, good; Manoeuvre of an English War Fleet, scenery; Puss's Breakfast, good comedy; The Pastry Cook Joke, good comedy.
