GRAND OPERA HOUSE PITTSBURG, PA. DECEMBER 18th, 1905. ANDERSON & GOINES-Colored singing, dancing and talking act in one. 18 minutes. 3 shows. This is a very good act-going very strong; on at 8:30. RADO & BERTRAM-Interior-15 minutes. 3 shows. Acrobatic singing, dancing and contortion act. The contortion work of Mr. Rado is very good; his comedy is bad, but taking the act as a whole, it is very good for the three a day section. LEO CARRILLO-Mimic and monologue THEin one. Would be much better if he knew how to handle his material. He works entirely too slow but does very well in the three show section. THE AUBERTS-10 minutes, full stage. Novelty dancing act. This act is on the order of whirlwind dancing acts but do nothing much out of the ordinary until the finish, which is very good. Taking the act as a whole, I would not advise to play it later than 8:00 o'clock on any bill. ANNIE & JENNIE YEAMANS-Inerior-16 minutes. Can open in two, closing in one. This act is going very good-Jennie Yeamans doing practically the same line of work she did in her single specialty, assisted by her mother who introduces the song and dance she did 30 years ago. The act is more than making good, and I feel sure that the age of Mrs. Yeamans will create quite a little talk, which may possibly help our business. FRANK BRYAN & HIS AMERICAN GIRLS-18 minutes, opening in one 4 minutes, closing full stage. Mr. Bryan has a very novel idea in which he introduces President Roosevelt, The Mikado, Uncle Sam and Russian Army officer, also 13 girls and 2 men who make many changes forming flags of different countries. This act gets as much applause as any act we have ever played. BOLZEN'S MIMIC DOG-9 minutes in one. This dog is made up to impersonate a sailor, German officer, baby, etc. and causes considerable laughter. While it is not a great act, it is a novelty and I think good for once around the circuit. BERT COOTE & CO-in "A Lamb on Wall Street" 23 min. Office. interior. I consider this a very good sketch, played very well by Mr. Coote. The character is somewhat different from that used in the general run of sketches. it is going very big with us. CLARICE VANCE-12 minutes in one. Better than ever. SNYDER & BUCKLEY-Comedy musical act. Interior, closing in one 10 minutes. Time of act 25 minutes. This is a very good comedy act which I think could be improved if they would cut 5 or 6 minutes out of the act. However, it is going very good with us but the above change, I think, would make it one of the best comedy musical acts in the business. MAREENA-NEVARO & MAREENA-Acrobatic act. This is a very good act at a very reasonable price. We are closing the show with them and they are holding the place down in good shape. LAMBERT & PIERCE-Black face singing, dancing and talking act. 3 shows. Street in one. This I do not consider a good act. They barely got away among the three a day acts. CINEOMATOGRAPH "The Steeple Chase" and the "Boy Tramp". Two of the best pictures that we have had in a long while. JOHN F. HARRIS.
