GRAND OPERA HOUSE PITTSBURG, PA. December 25TH, 1905. YANKEE & DIXIE-3 shows. Time of act 18 minutes. Doc act. This is an exceptionally good act for the three a day section. LARSEN SISTERS-10 minutes, wood. This act is going very well with us, their work being much more difficult than that attempted by other lady acrobats. We consider this a good act. O. K. SATO-Juggler. 15 minutes, 10 minutes full stage, interior-5 minutes in one. This man does very little juggling but gets a lot of comedy out of his attempts and is pleasing very much. CHARLOTTE GUYER GEORGE-Mezzo soprano. 3 shows. 11 minutes in one. Olio. This is the best three a day singing act we have ever played. This is on at 8:10 with us and going very well. PICCOLO MIDGETS-15 minutes, opening in one , 3 minutes, closing full stage, wood. This is undoubtedly the best midget act in the business, introducing wrestling at the matinee, boxing at the night performances, heavy weight lifting, trapeze performances and travesty on the Salvation Army. This act is an enormous his with the patrons, especially this week since we are playing to so many children. BASQUE QUARTETTE-15 minutes in one. This is a very good singing act. It is their fourth appearance with us and while they are not going as strong as they did on their first appearance, they are going very well. HUGH J. WARD & JESSIE IZETT-23 minutes, interior. These two people were formerly favorites of our stock company and, of course, are doing very well for us. I consider their sketch a very good one and feel sure that after a couple of performances it will be good enough for any bill. CLIFFORD & BURKE-Black face singing, dancing and talking act. 22 minutes in one-street. This is a good act, going very, very big, which may be due to the fact that they were residents of Pittsburg and have a number of their friends in to see them. However, I consider the act one of the best of its kind in the business. WILL ROGERS-"The Lariat King" 15 minutes, full stage. This is a very novel act; two men and a horse being used. There is quite a little comedy in this act which helps it considerable. The act is going very well and I feel sure that it will make the people talk. THREE KEATONS-27 minutes, closing in one 10 minutes. This act is too well known to need any extended comment. They are repeating their old success here and when they introduce the fourth member of the family--Jingles-it causes a howl to go up from every one in the house. We could not have made a better selection for this week as Buster is a big hit with the children. BROTHERS DURANT-3 shows. Monologue while in balloon, followed by trapeze act. This is a very good act for the three a day section. John F. Harris.
