GRAND OPERA HOUSE PITTSBURG, PA. JANUARY 22d, 1906. HARRY BROWN--Cartoonist and vocalist. 11 minutes, three shows. This would makd a good three show act if Mr. Brown would dress a little better. DELMAR BROS-3 shows, 12 minutes. Exterior. Barrel jumpers. The comedy in this act is not good. Their jumping in and out of barrels is fair. VERA KING-10 minutes. Vocalist. A very ordinary act. Would not care to play her layer than 8:00 o'clock. WOOLFORD'S ANIMALS-3 shows-16 minutes. Introducing dogs, ponies and monkeys. This I consider a very good act. I think the monkeys are the best I ever saw. MAYME REMINGTON AND HER PICKANINNIES. 14 minutes. Open two minutes in one-then two for two minutes, closing in one 10 minutes. This is a very good pick act-I think one of the best- and is going very well with our patrons. PAUL CONCHAS-26 minutes. Good. Military Hercules. This is undoubtedly the best act of the kind I have ever seen. I am sure it is drawing us money. Conches, I think, has Spadoni beaten on everything he attempts. SKENEUS COMEDy FOUR-15 minutes in one. While I do not consider this a great act it seems to go very well with our audience. MR & MRS. SIDNEY DREW"When Two Hearts Were Won". 10 minutes. As the reports on the "Yellow Dragon" were not good I had Mr. Drew substitute their old act which seems to go just as well as it did the first time he played it for us. I think it one of the best sketches we have in the business. JOE FLYNN-15 minutes in one. We have been quite busy this week with Mr. Flynn who has many things in his monologue and songs that do not belong in refined vaudeville. I am enclosing a clip of cuts we found necessary in this week's show. FRANK & JEN LATONA-23 minutes, open full stage 13 minutes, closing in one 10 minutes in music and comedy. The piano playing and singing of Miss Latona is a feature of the act. They repeated their big success of last year. I think this is among the best acts we play. WEBB-ROMANO TROUPE-8 minutes, palace. Acrobats and equilibrists. Three men and a woman. This act can be classed as good. The head balancing is a feature of the act and is far above the ordinary. The acrobatic work is only ordinary. The act is well dressed and presents a very neat appearance. CARDOWNIE SISTERS-3 shows, 9 minutes in two. Singing and dancing. This is a very clever little act. I feel sure these girls could do their act in one which I think would improve it. I am going to advise them to do so. We have them on at 8:00 o'clock and they are doing very well. I think they are strong enough for the early part of any bill.
