2 thoroughly enjoying their work, which adds to the patron's enjoyment too. Costume and paraphernalia all to be desired. Will close with them tonight and hereafter. One of the best acts of its kind. 15 min. Garden in 4. SMITH & CAMPBELL.--Some old and some new matter, but all good. Rank high in their specialty which is unapproachable in a way, and can hold any place on the bill. Better closing feature than formerly. 18 min. in 1. HENRY LEE.-- "A Hundred Men in One." One of the very best Vaudeville specialties today, and fully up to all that has been said about him. Artistic, consistent, and displaying infinite knowledge of great characters as well as experience in impersonation. Held audience to the last. Regard him as the well-recommended leader who makes good. Special in 3 and 5. 24 min. SEARL & VIOLETTE ALLEN.--Changed very little since last presentation here. Five people now doing what two did before at half the money. However, a very swift, well-costumed and painstaking act--a marvel considering it is in 1. Gags and hits of the rapid-firing order and brought applause constantly. On account of close with drums must change place on bill. 20 min. in 1. O.K. MILITARY OCTETTE.--Eight male musicians, two very pretty girls and a woman orchestra-leader. Throughly original from start to finish. Costumes fetching and scenes--on battlefields, in Siberia, in India (including the very best 'prop' elephant ever),--all caught on immensely, through there were too long waits between musical numbers. Act shows great care to detail and is worthy of all praise. Audience applauded roundly. 18 min. Special in 5. KINETOGRAPH.-- WINTER IN NIAGARA.-- A beautiful Series. NO CHILDREN ALLOWED.--A rapid and amusing series, with many humorous situations and interest to the close. Will go well here. GENERAL REMARKS.--Regard this as a very good bill on the whole, and suited to our audiences. Too much two-a-day and not enough three-a-day material, as usual to help out supper-show. House show little diminution from Houdini furor, all three floors filled to capacity, the two upper floors shut off only a little later than during Houdini's phenomenal business.
