Henry and Alice Taylor, 2 shows, 20 min. full stage--Man and woman, in a great exhibition of sharp shooting with rifle and pistol by the woman, and some very clever balancing of objects by the man. The woman is one of the best rifle and pistol shooters I have ever seen, and she was applauded throughout. The man's balancing did not get much applause, but nevertheless, it was plain to see it created considerable wonderment. They have quite a handsome stage apparatus and it is a very acceptable act in the novelty line. The woman responded to 3 curtain calls at the finish this afternoon. Orpheus Comedy Four, 2 shows, 15 min. in 1--Well-known vocal team. These men did not go nearly as well here today as on their last trip. owing to the fact, I believe, it is too quick a repeat. Were not wholly bad, but not with a howl of the last trip. Mosher, Houghton & Mosher, 2 shows, 15 min. full stage--Three men, comedy and trick bicyclists. They started out a little slow with the straight work, owing to the fact that we have played the Kaufmanns here for two weeks. The comedy work went with a scream throughout and they closed strong. Kinetograph, 3 shows, 20 min. in 1--Showing the following list of interesting motion pictures: 1. The Insurance Solicitor: Good comedy film which created considerable laughter. 2. Winter Scene at Niagara. Might have been a good picture but it shows evidence of being scratched. 3. A Quiet Smoke. Fair film. Boyd Coleman and Company, 3 shows, 19 min. in 3--In the comedy sketch, "Buster's Burglar". Owing to the fact that there is a young chap in this sketch who is quite cute they got considerable applause. In view of that fact, it might be said that it would be a fairly good 3-a-day sketch to please the women and children, and an excellent one for time. The "kid" is the act. Somers and Law, 3 shows, 14 min. in 1--Conversational comedians and singers of fair value in the 3-show section, although a little more experience would work wonders. Cardownie Sisters, 3 shows, 11 min. open in 2, close in 1--Character change dancers. Good 3-show merit and I will endeavor to put them up and give them a chance before the audience tomorrow. Comment:- The show is hardly up to standard, but it is much better than it looks on paper. It started off in great shape, but lagged a little between 2 and 3, not enough to hurt any. Otherwise it would be a satisfactory bill, well balanced. We had a capacity audience who were not afraid to show their appreciation.
