THE SIX GLINCERETTIS, European acrobats:- 10 min. F.S. These people are well known in the circuit and their work went very strong, showing that all that has been said about them is full justified. Every act received a warm hand for daring and finish. There is no hesitency about their work and the costuming is right up to the mark. Would like an act like this on every one of our programs, for it is a money-puller to the house. Big applause at close. AUGUSTE VAN BIENE:- 15 min. in 1. Orchestra accompaniment. This man is certainly a genius, and although features like this are usually dangerous for the reason that unless they are very good, they are worthless for us. This man's work caught the house with a rush right away, and kept the interest through two beautiful numbers, when he took three curtain calls and finally gave a popular encore with two curtain calls to follow. This is a big thing for a 'cello player, however brilliant his work. We are billing Van Biene pretty strong and the interest the man has created shows that it is justified. I think they he will bring a good deal of money to the house, and not only that, but many of them not of our regular-patrons class. For a holiday week he is particularly valuable to us. JOSEPH HART AND CARRIE DE MAR in "The Other Fellow":- 27 min. F.S. Rather a slender sketch, but it goes big on account of its spirit and dash. The musical numbers were very well rendered and brought good hands. Hart proves himself a winner, his lines being bright and his personality that of a true comedian. Miss De Mar is chic and charmingly costumed. The applause was constant throughout and they received two curtain calls at the close. Cut the following,- "Why, I don't even know you." -"Well, I'm taking as many chances as you are. MURPHY AND FRANCIS; Colored Comedy:- These people are all right in their way, but coming on after such as act as Hart and De Mar, which included singing and dancing of a still higher class, many people got up and left It was some time before they got hold of their crowd. They finally managed to do so, however, as their comedy work is very good and their songs pleasingly rendered. The finish was reassuring. They will go very much better about eight o'clock, but it will be necessary to fill this spot on the bill with something more worthy of the place. KITA BANZAI TROUPE, Japanese acrobats:- 20 min. F.S. One of the cleverest Jap troupes that ever appeared in Vaudeville. They carry their own drop,- a silk-embroidered affair which is very striking as a background to their stunts, but is not deep enough for such a large stage. Their feats are of the very best of the Oriental variety, including tumbling, foot juggling and etc. Every feat received a good hand and they went off with an ovation. One of the best closing acts in the business. KINETOGRAPH:- PRINCE OF WALES AT LAHORE:- A very interesting series. VICTIMS OF THE STORM: - A romantic series with a good deal of action and spirit holds the interest of the audience all right. THE DESERTER:- A French series that carries a strong moral. Had to cut out suicide scene in cell. THE MISGUIDED BOBBY:- Fairly good as English comedy series goes.
