193 Cleveland Show. Week of Feb. 26, '06. (H. A. Daniels.) MAXSMITH DUO--2 boys. Equilibristic work on the dancing ladders. A novelty for Cleveland audiences. A very good opening act. 10 min. Gar. 5. HARRY ATKINSON--An Englishman. A really marvelous mimic of instrumental sounds. One of the best acts of the kind I have ever seen. He can go anywhere in one on any bill, and make a hit. An excellent act. Drop in one. 11 Min. LINDEN BECKWITH--"The singing portrait." Works with a black art drop in one and one-half, and appears as a portrait in a golden frame in the center of the black drop. Sings several songs in character costume. Has an excellent voice, and possess character and magnetism. A novelty and a very good act for this spot on the bill. Special drop in 1 1/2. 15 min. BAILEY & AUSTIN--2 men. Comedy acrobats. Both work in grotesque makeup. An excellent act. Went with laughter and applause throughout. Palace in four. 11 min. PHIL & NETTIE PETERS--Little singing, a little talking, a little burlesque tragedy, and a little of everything. They went quite well, but I shall put Atkinson in this spot. Received a small hand at the close. 19 min. Drop in one. Nina Morris & Co.--Comedy sketch, entitled "A Friends Advice." Company consists of Miss Morris and 2 men. The sketch is good, and the audience laughed continuously and heartily. C. D. F. in 3. 18 min. HALLIDAY & LEONARD--2 men. Irish comedians. This was the first falldown in the show, and they will open the show tonight. They did not go at all. Up to this point the show was excellent. Drop in one. 14 min. CUT--"Bustle as big as a bucket." 3 SISTERS HERZOG-CAMARAS--European equilibrists and acrobats. These girls do some wonderful head and hand balancing. The act is thoroughly good in every particular. 10 min. Gar. 4. KINETOGRAPH--Dick the News-boy. Good.
