GRAND OPERA HOUSE MARCH 5th, 1906. PITTSBURG, PA. TOM MOORE-3 shows-12 minutes. Olio. Singing coon songs. Does very well for the three a day section. ETHEL BROWNING-ASHLEY MILLER CO in their sketch "Caught". 16 min. Int. Mr. Miller closed Tuesday as he did not like his place on the bill. I cannot say much for either sketch or actors. LECLAIR & HART-Time of act 14 minutes, 10 min. full stage, closing in one 4 minutes. Comedy acrobatic act, similar to Collins & Hart. We have them on at 8:00 o'clock and does very well. I think it a very good opening act. PHIL & NETTIE PETERS-18 minutes in one, olio. Singing & Talking act. This act does very well for an early place on the bill. They are going much better during this engagement than they did on their previous one. LINDEN BECKWITH-12 minutes in her act entitled "The Singing Portrait". This lady sings two songs in a gold frame in two, closing in one. The act is certainly a novelty and Miss Beckwith's singing is very good. I consider her a good act. ROONEY & BENT-16 minutes, interior. Can close in one. Singing, talking and dancing. This act is going very good with us. I consider it among the best acts of the kind in the business. JULIUS TANNEN-12 minutes, olio. Imitations of actors. Mr. Tannen is going very well but I think his act would be much improved if he would cut out the imitation of Geo. Cohan, which I think is about as bad as anything I have ever seen attempted. All of his other imitations I consider very good. NINA MORRIS & CO. 20 minutes, interior in a comedy sketch-"A Friend's Advice". This is a very good sketch and Miss Morris does very well in it. Her support, Mr. Arthur Hoops and Mr. Ph. Sheffield, are about the worst I have ever seen. I do not know what their former business was but whatever it was I feel sure they could do better at it than acting. In spite of the alleged actors, the at is going very well CARLIN & OTTO-16 minutes, street. German singing, talking and dancing act. This act is going about the same as on their last trip, which is very good. FADETTES ORCHESTRA-50 minutes-palace. They are repeating their success of former seasons. AVERY & HART-Colored singing and dancing act, a copy of Williams & Walker This I consider a very good act which is going very well with us, but I think their salary is entirely too high. COINS PANTOMIME DOGS-9 minutes, full stage, 2ood. This is a very novel act on the order of Merian's act but, of course, not as good. As we have never played Merian's act this one is going very good with our audience. I consider them worth the salary they are getting. LILLIAN ASHLEY-Olio in one, 12 minutes. Singing comedienne. Does very well for the three show section. VICTOR-billed as "The Perfect Man" in muscular poses and feats of strength. 12 minutes, 3 shows. This gentleman does his posing in a cabinet and does exceptional well in the three a day section. John P. Harris.
