218 (2) BOBBY NORTH: Hebrew Comedian. This man is immense. His material is a way off from the ordinary stereotyped monologuist. It is all new, in fact, he is one of the most original monologuists we ever had here, and we never had a single man make such a tremendous hit as this man made to-day; nor have we had the Grand Jury to applaud a monologuist for his material while he was singing. He had them laughing from start to finish. 17 min. in one KELLER'S AMERICAN ZOUAVE GIRLS: 9 women and 3 men. This act is on the order of the "Streeter Zouaves", substituting the girls for the men, giving the act an element of novelty. Their drilling is not quite as good, although they managed to secure a big lot of applause for their work. The wall-scaling is not as strong, for the reason, that only a few of the girls make an attempt, but they keep up the enthusiasm and get a good strong hand on the finish. I think the act is easily worth $25 more than what we are paying it for the circuit. 10 min.-full st. CARTER & BLUFORD: In their well known character change act. Has been commented upon in the other houses. Held down this place to-day in great shape and closed very strong. 12 min. in one- 2 shows HARMONY FOUR: For a rough-house quartette, this is one of the best we ever had here for many a day. A lot of the comedy is new and brought forth screams of laughter throughout. 16 min.-full stage (Closed in one about 4 min.) 6 PROVEANIES: Bicyclists. At the price this act is a knock-out. They make a grand appearance, do some elegant riding and a big lot of trick work, which was greatly appreciated. I don't think I ever saw an act of this nature that ever went as strong. 14 min.-full stage KINETOGRAPH: "I Have lost my Eye Glasses." Good comedy. "Bird's Eye View of Paris." First repeat we have had of the Kinetograph although interesting and alright. "Juvenile Trainer." Good. "Please help the Blind." Quite a novel comedy film.
