Report on show, Keith's theatre, Providence, R. I., week of March 5, 1906. (Chas. Lovenberg, Mgr.) The show is very satisfactory and is one which I think will draw some business. Rice Brothers. Comedy bar act. All right for an unimportant spot. 11 min. full stage, 3 shows. Murphy & Andrews. Wellknown talking and singing act. Good three a day turn. 15 min. in one. McNamee. Clay modeller. We haven't had an act of this kind for a long time so it is something of a novelty again. It is a change from the ordinary run of three a day acts and good for that reason; he also does some clever work. 10 min. in 2. 3 shows. Browning, Welp & Co. Little singing comedy sketch, three people. Not a very good offering, only fit for three a day in the early show. 21 min. full stage, 3 shows. The Garrity Sisters. Usual sister song and dance act, neatly dressed, fairly good looking girls, and the turn is quite acceptable from a three a day standpoint. 11 min. in one, 3 shows. Henry Leone & Anne Dale. Operatic singing sketch. These people do what I consider a very nice act. Thoroughly all right up to about 8:30 and on a pinch, later. They made quite a hit this afternoon. From a comparison standpoint, I like it better than Murray & Lane. 20 min. open in 3, can do a very short close in 1, 2 shows. Joe Flynn. Wellknown monologuist. Did very well here this afternoon. 17 min. in 1, 2 shows. Mr. & Mrs. Esmonde. In their new sketch "Alaska." It went fully as well as their previous offering although personally, I like their first sketch better. This however, is a very fine playlet, excellently acted. 25 min. full stage, 2 shows. Cooper & Robinson. I will have to go on record and disagree with about everyone else as to the value of this act. They do 13 min. and it is only in the last four or five minutes of their turn that they make a hit. I consider the act decidedly overpaid and I do not think they are as good as Murphy & Francis and some other Blackfaced acts. 2 shows, in one. Delmore & Lee. this is to my mind the peer of all revolving ladder acts, nicely staged and dressed and good work. 12 min. full stage, 2 shows. Willie Eckstein. Boy pianist. The boy is really remarkable for his execution, but he reaches the two extremes in his selections. They are too severely classical and his encore to cheap and [tracky?]. I tried to have him make some changes, but had nothing else prepared. However it is a first class act. Care should be taken to secure, before his arrival, a Grand Piano, tuned exactly with the orchestra. For want of that knowledge I had considerable trouble this morning. 15 min. in 1, 2 shows. Rice & Cohen. In "All The World Loves A Lover." Probably the best sketch they ever offered us and played in their usual finished manner. 25 min. full stage, 2 shows. S. & V. Allen. This act went all right here although I wouldn't want to play it again, at this money. 18 min. in 1, 2 shows. go so strongly. 15 min. full stage, 2 shows. Motion Pictures. O. K.
