2. HARRY TATE'S "MOTORING":- 15 min. F.S. Everything that has been said about this act being a scream is enthusiastically voted here. It was not thirty seconds before the audience began to titter, and later broke into roars. As a burlesque on the trials and vicissitudes of the automobile fiend, it is the best ever. The lines are bright and the surprises many. The finish was of the rough and tumble order that caught everybody from orchestra to gallery. JAMES J. MORTON, "A Fellow of infinite Jest":- 15 min. in 1. Quick return for "Jimmy", but he brought some new stuff and soon got the audience going by telling them that the preceding people were not real, but only fake and etc. Then he preceeded with his usual asking questions to answer them himself and ripples of laughter all over the house soon broke into an ovation. One of the most valuable acts in 1 in the whole range of Vaudeville. Three strong encores. HORACE GOLDIN "The King's Magician":- 25 min. F.S. Carries his own drop which, along with his men in uniform, makes a splendid showing. This is the most rapid-working magician act ever seen. The audience was worked up to the highest pitch of interest with every new surprise. None of his tricks was too obvious. Taken altogether, these illusions stamp him as a genius in his line, and he could easily have held the audience for three times the time limit, as they applauded constantly and were hungry for more. Every feat got a ringing hand. Regard him as one of the greatest Vaudeville attractions ever offered anywhere. We are billing him and "Motoring" to the limit, and there is no doubt they will pull big business for the rest of the week. PHIL & NETTIE PETERS:- 2 shows, 17 min. in 1. Nettie works straight, and Phil, the booby comedian. Good, swift talk with nothing objectionable which got the laughing quite strong. The songs are new, and catch on pretty well, though neither of them has a good voice, but their work is so swift that it keeps the audience interested coming after so much brilliant featuring, it is a very hard place to hold on the bill, but they manage to do it O.K. DUFFIN REDCAY TROUPE, Casting Act:- 10 min. F.S. Well known and is brilliant and thrilling, and indeed, one of the most perfect acrobatic casting acts ever seen here. They are fine looking young men and a sureness about their work that makes it very pleasing instead of doubtful. The triple somersault and the loop the loop got a strong applause. These are certainly great people in their specialties. WILLIAMS DUE:- 14 min. F.S. Man and woman in refined musical act playing different instruments. Neatly dressed and their work is good for the three-a-day section. A local act put on at the last minutes to take the place of Rado & Bertram, on account of illness. KINETOGRAPH:-HORSE THIEF:- Quite thrilling and altogether thoroughly satisfactory. TROUT FISHING:- Interesting out door life. DREAM OF THE RAREBIT FIEND:- The best comedy series on the Kinetograph I have ever seen. It caught the audience with roars of laughter and took a hand at the close as if it were a real comedian of the best order. Do not wonder that it got on immensely elsewhere. the stage for a third. The house is jammed to the doors and every mother's son will go away telling his neighbor so that there will be no doubt of our having a big house for the balance of the week.
