2. MAREENA, NAVARRO & MAREENA: Hand and Head Balancers:- 14 min. F.S. Two men work straight and the third eccentric. Ripping strong acrobatic feature. Their stunts were as new as the limitations would allow, and everyone of their difficult features got a solid hand from all parts of the house. The comedy work was a little of the Rice and Provost order, but was funny and helped to make the act a telling one. BOBBY NORTH, Hebrew Comedian:- 18 min. in 1. Made a decided hit with his songs and dialect talk. His stuff is new,- won immensely from the start. Laughs were constant through all parts of the house, and at the finish after his burlesque on opera songs, there was a decided ovation. DE MAR & FORTUNE, "My Sweetheart":- 15 min. F.S. Closing in 1. Plot of the sketch rather slender, but it makes an excuse to offer a series of very fetching songs which were well done. Fortune appears in a smart costume of a lieutenant. Miss De Mar appears in a very pretty gown of white, which she afterwards exchanges for a soldier costume. They sing with a great deal of spirit and dash. The last song, "Take off your Hat to the Red, White and Blue" received a very good hand and a recall. BARROWS-LANCASTER CO., "The Blue and the Gray":- 25 min. F.S. This is one of the best sketches we have had for a long time. It concerns the animosity between two old soldiers of the North and South, with a son and daughter, and an accidental meeting. The old feud is revived, and the battle of Gettysburg rehearsed upon the floor with the aid of lamps, stools and bric-a-brac, which in the heat of the argument are destroyed. There are numerous funny bits in the whole act, in fact, the humor divides with the pathos, and the heart interest. The sketch held the attention of the audience throughout and won a big hand at the close. This act would make good anywhere for it is well written and as well acted, and has an additional patriotic element of success. DAN QUINLAN AND KELLER MACK, The Travelling Dentist":- 16 min. in 1. Carry their own drops. Both work eccentric, one as a coon, the other as a travelling dentist. The lines are exceedingly funny throughout and delivered with irresistibly humous effect. Strong enough to go anywhere on the bill. SIX PROVEANNIES, European Lady Cyclists:- 15 min. F.S. the work of these people is all to be desired. The costuming is fetching. With one or two exceptions, they are really very pretty girls. There is a swiftness and a sureness about the act that makes it doubly impressive with the audience The little blonde won from the start, and her amazing work got round after round of applause. They certainly are the best ever on the bicycle. The last feature with flags is very beautiful. One of the best closing acts we have ever had. was found necessary to make a shift in the bill so that the Fadettes could go down a little later, with the proper people to set them and to follow. The order is thus: Carew & Hayes.....6.52 Morton & Diamond.....6.48 J. & 2. Barrows.....7.05 Adams & Mack.....7.13 Frank Bell.....7.30 Keith's Orchestra.....7.44 De Mar & Fortune.....7.44 Mareena, Nevarro, & M.....8.03 Carter & Bluford.....8.15 The Fadettes.....8.30 Bobby North.....9.03 Barrows-Lancaster Co......9.20 Quinlan & Mack.....9.45 Six Proveannies.....10.01 Kinetograph.....10.15 10.30-
